New Names That Stood Out at Uprise

Here are some new names that emerged at the Uprise Top 100 Camp. This group impressed with its ability to stand out and make plays, even in a showcase setting, while proving they belonged among the state's best. Each of these prospects made a strong impression and positioned themselves as players to monitor closely moving forward.    Steinhauser was one of the most impactful players at the event, and he stood out with his size, effort, and energy. At 6'3, he consistently made the right play as he consistently scored on drives, dunked in transition, and created second-chance opportunities with his rebounds. His high motor and ability to impact both ends separated him. Steinhauser has next-level upside and was a clear breakout name that I want to see more from. Certainly on my radar.     Brown was one of the event's biggest surprises, showing his ability to break defenders down off the dribble and score inside with floaters and creativity. His handle and shiftiness allow him to get to his spots, and he makes smart reads in pick-and-roll settings. Brown's poise, quickness, and balanced scoring made him a name to know going forward in that 2028 class.     Pederson is a 6-foot guard who looked poised to be a freshman playing in that event. What stood out to me was his confidence and feel. He plays on and off the ball, shoots with rhythm, and hunts quality looks. He got hot during stretches, making extra passes and showing strong basketball IQ. Pederson proved that varsity pace won't intimidate him, and he's a name who will gain traction quickly this season. He's a player!     Brutlag is a 2028 prospect out of Wyoming who impressed as a tough, downhill guard who plays with pace and strength. He repeatedly attacked gaps, scored off floaters, and showed touch from the mid-range. He was an inside attacker who kept getting to his spots. Defensively, he was active as he was denying and deflecting passes while competing on every possession. Brutlag's combination of grit, control, and shot-making ability makes him a tough assignment and a definite riser. Hope he heads out to a bit more of our events and gets out for grassroots this summer as well.     This was the second time that we've seen Bradley, and we feel safe in saying that we think he'll be the newcomer of the year. Bradley was one of the top guards at the camp and continues to rise as a dynamic scorer. The 6'1 guard is a problem downhill as he attacks with strength, but he also plays with pace. He's confident and electric with the ball in his hands and hits mid-range jumpers with ease, which makes him more difficult to guard. Bradley creates off the bounce, finishes through contact, and controls tempo. Expect a breakout year from him at Liberty, and I think that will be the team coming out of the Springs that makes the most noise.
