Our friends at Prep Hoops Next do a great job of covering the middle school scene, but admittedly we here at Prep Hoops Indiana don't really follow the prospects until they enter high school. Generally speaking, aside from a few exceptions for the very top prospects, our first viewing of any incoming freshmen would be at the Charlie Hughes Showcase in June. Then, we host our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase in the fall. For this first Watch List, which features over 150 prospects, if you did not play at the varsity level in June or attend our showcase it is unlikely that you are on our radar right now. However, that is why we update our rankings multiple times a year and spend so much time in the gym not just in the season, but throughout the offseason as well. This list will continue to grow rapidly in the coming months.

All of our rankings are an inexact science. However, that is even more true with the younger classes because it is hard to find all of the best names. Some of the top prospects in the state of Indiana will not play varsity as a freshman while there may be guys contribute at the varsity level as a freshman who will never be ranked in their career. That is why this initial update is simply an alphabetical Watch List. Then, we will slowly release and expand rankings in our forthcoming updates.

Also, some of the profiles included in the Watch List are incomplete. While I did take some time to clean things up, for the most part I left the information provided unchanged. Therefore, if you notice that your position and/or high school is not listed please contact me directly and I will get that updated immediately. Similarly, if you notice anything WRONG within your profile (name misspelling, height, position, high school, etc.) please reach out to me directly as well.

Finally, I am always very transparent when it comes to rankings. My email address is coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or you can find me on Twitter @BRamseyKSR. Reach out to me if you have any questions or if you would like to submit information to be considered at the next update. We do these 3-4 times a year because we know it is an inexact science. There will always be someone flying under-the-radar. However, at Prep Hoops Indiana, we do as good of a job as possible covering every single corner of the state and finding good players from high-major Division I prospects to Division III prospects and everything in between. Between coaching at the collegiate level, running my own scouting service, and now working here at Prep Hoops Indiana I've been involved in the player evaluation and recruiting world for nearly 15 years. I am here to help you above all else. Please never hesitate to reach out with questions, comments, or concerns.
