After spending a day at a high level JUCO scrimmage, it reminded me that college basketball is indeed a different level. The physicality and speed are most certainly a different beast than what we see at the high school level. That being said, I'm going to give you 5 point guards from the class of 2026 that I think are built for this transition to the next level.

We have Lamb listed as a combo guard, and while he can indeed play off the ball, I think he has the frame and grit to be a tough PG at the next level. He has competed against high level competition in both high school and grassroots ball, so he's ready for the stage to be bigger and he has the athleticism to make it happen.

Bont is a skilled guard that I would call a throwback at his position. Bont is tough as nails and has the strength and frame to match it. He can out-physical most high school PG's and I think that this ability and mind frame prepares him well for the next level.

I've been a huge fan of Lowe's game since he walked into high school. The young man is efficient with the ball and he loves to get after it on the defensive end. Lowe isn't about flash. He's about picking up big stop after big stop. Defense travels so a high level defender is 'built for this'.

Spencer is a player that I was able to see a few times this summer. I think he just has that next level game. He has a way of influencing every game, whether the stats are huge or not. Spencer lets the game come to him and stays very efficient. His game between the ears spells success at the next level.
