This could be a sneaky good game. Byron Center and Bont will try to upset one of the early top teams in the state. Bont, an experienced senior star, will take on a couple of the top young guards in Michigan. Bont is an elite defender, so the matchups here should be a lot of fun.

Bont recently received an offer from Hope College. In my opinion this talented guard is one of the best perimeter defenders in the state of Michigan. Bont plays hands on defense, reminding his opponents that basketball is a contact sport. He’s a true 2 way player that runs an offense with a high basketball IQ.

Bont is a skilled guard that I would call a throwback at his position. Bont is tough as nails and has the strength and frame to match it. He can out-physical most high school PG’s and I think that this ability and mind frame prepares him well for the next level.

I’d be really interested to see how Bont’s strength and physicality on the defensive end matches up with Swartz’s skills. Bont plays both ends of the floor really well off contact. Swartz is taller, but Bont may be the best way for Byron Center to try to slow him. And that’s a huge compliment to what Bont brings to the table.
