2029 High IQ Prospects: You May Not Have Heard About, Yet

This summer we were able to be in multiple gyms around the state and look for players who might have otherwise flown under the radar. The players highlighted use their game IQ to make themselves and others around them better.    [player_tooltip player_id='2981518' first='Luke' last='Brown'] is a crafty guard who uses angles to get shots off. His tight ball handling is one of his best attributes. He has a consistent shot from three, which forces the defense to play up. He is a player who can use his change of pace and offensive skill set to get others involved. Luke uses the same IQ to get into passing lanes to turn defense into offense. Luke can either be a spark plug off the bench offensively or someone who can be trusted to run the offense.     [player_tooltip player_id='2893635' first='Carlos-Rey' last='Madrid'] is an all-gas and no-break kind of player. He does all the little things for his team. He isn't flashy or someone who is going to light up the scoreboard. He is the player who is going to fight for rebounds and loose balls. He is the player who puts his team first and is about the wins, not the stat lines. This summer, I was able to witness multiple defensive stops and a game-winning shot in Las Vegas. He uses great footwork and positioning to win rebounds and draw charges.     Cole Vosburg is a C/PF who has grown as a player over the summer. He snatches rebounds and brings the ball up the court with confidence. He has no problem facing up or playing with his back to the basket. He has worked tirelessly at finishing around the rim. His height allows him to see his teammates through traffic. He uses quick decisions for outlet passes and runs his lane like he wants to score every chance he gets. He has good footwork in the paint offensively and defensively. He is confident in his shot blocking and isn't afraid to jump with other players.      [player_tooltip player_id='2893398' first='Darnell' last='Moquino'] is an aggressive 3 and D player. He looks to get in passing lanes and come from the help side. He can force his cover into defensive help. On offense, he can find the soft spot of the defense with ease. He takes good shots when available and hits corner threes with consistency. He has a smooth jumper and quick release. Darnell's conditioning is one of his best attributes. When he is in the game, he is always moving and never looks out of breath, even late in games.
