The Expo drew an impressive pool of talent from all corners of the state, with many familiar faces earning their respect in the gym. However, there were also several lesser-known players who left a lasting impression on coaches and scouts in attendance. Here are our First Team Selections from The Expo, highlighting the standout performers who made the biggest impact during the event.

White is one of the top players in the state for a reason. He has all of the intangibles required to play at the next level. He has the size and athleticism, the skill and IQ. He is aggressive on both sides of the ball, and he was special at the showcase. He was a consistent scorer and is at his best when he is getting down hill to the goal. He is also an elite mid range shooter and can get to his spots with ease. Simply put, he is just a complete player. White was an easy first team selection. He impressed coaches, scouts and even other parents with his elite level of play. His recruitment will definitely see a jump heading into his senior season.

I watched Burns play in the summer and he was a perfect complimentary player for his team. Watching him play in a showcase was eye opening because you see that there is more to his game. He is one of the most athletic players in the state, and he has a high motor to match his skill and athleticism. He is a high IQ wing player with a ton of upside. His showcase performance was full of dunks and creative finishes and he was just exciting to watch. Burns was one of the best overall players in the gym without a doubt and a clear First Team Selection.

[player_tooltip player_id='2892738' first='Rok' last='Kau'] is one of the most intriguing prospects in the state because of his size and athleticism. He showcased his ability to rebound, post up, finish and defend the rim. These are all skills that coaches are looking for at the next level. He is a developing talent, but he is fearless and eager to improve. He stepped out to knock down some three pointers as well during the showcase. As Kau continues to develop and expand his skill set he could develop into a top player in the state. His upside is undeniable and his solid performance earns his selection to our First Team.

Brown entered the showcase with a chip on his shoulder and spent the entire showcase proving that he has been overlooked and undervalued. He was on fire the entire day. He was hard to stop watching because of his intensity and passion for the game. Everything was personal, and he put on a clinic. He handled the ball at a high level, he knocked down shots from all over the court and he was locked in defensively. Brown is strong, aggressive and skilled. He was one of the surprise players from the showcase and an easy selection for our First Team.

Newman was a surprise standout at the camp. His role for his high school team is complimentary. He rebounds, defends and scores in transition for Zachary. At The Expo he showed all of that and more. He could easily be a lead guy for a winning program. He has a solid handle and a nice stroke from the mid-range and from three. He has exceptional size and uses it to get to the rim at will and he has a complete finishing package at the rim. He was special throughout the showcase and proved that he is a stock riser in the state. He looks to have grown a couple inches as well. His performance was truly deserving of his first team selection.

Be on the lookout for our final articles that will name our Second Team Selections, Dual MVP Selections and Honorable Mentions.
