About Triston
Expert Analysis
Donald Tatum | Prep Hoops Scout
Brown is having a stellar senior campaign and his averages of 12 PPG, 4 RPG are a big reason for Woodlawn and their position as a top 50 team in the state. Brown is a tough competitor that works hard on both ends of the court. He is a slasher with a shifty handle and nice pull up jump shot. He will be one to watch as Woodlawn looks to make some noise in their District and the playoffs.

After seeing Brown a few weeks ago and the impact that he made every time he was on the court, Brown looks like he is peaking at the right time. He is an intense player with all of the skills coaches look for in a Louisiana guard. He is a dawg on the court and his skills match his mentality. He will not be outplayed or performed in any match up and that is what made the biggest impression outside of his ability to knock down shots and finish at the rim. He is equally tough on both sides of the ball and is a high IQ defender as well. Brown is a player that coaches should add to their boards if they are looking for a quintessential La Guard. Calling him a stock riser in a huge understatement.

Brown entered the showcase with a chip on his shoulder and spent the entire showcase proving that he has been overlooked and undervalued. He was on fire the entire day. He was hard to stop watching because of his intensity and passion for the game. Everything was personal, and he put on a clinic. He handled the ball at a high level, he knocked down shots from all over the court and he was locked in defensively. Brown is strong, aggressive and skilled. He was one of the surprise players from the showcase and an easy selection for our First Team.
