ORANGE — Gerry Freitas and Santiago Canyon College played host to one of the biggest fall high school basketball events in the West over the weekend. The SoCal Fall Prep Classic featured top high school and prep school programs and prospects from Southern and Northern California, Arizona, Utah and Washington. Below we detail the best shooters we watched.

[player_tooltip player_id='2888818' first='Josh' last='King'] | 2026 | Orange Lutheran

King, formerly of Troy high school in Fullerton, missed all of last season with an injury but has been quick to establish himself as one of the best shooters in Orange County. Now at Orange Lutheran, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard has deep and consistent range off the catch and off the bounce and his ability to hit from multiple spots with a quick release gives him a shooting diversity that makes him a tough cover.

[player_tooltip player_id='1707490' first='Joven' last='Dulay'] | 2026 | Folsom

The recent Idaho State-commit had his three-point shot dialed in over the weekend. The 6-foot-5 wing shoots a quick and easy ball both off the catch and off the dribble and that, combined with his positional size and high release point, makes him a shooter who is difficult to close out to and impact his shot. Dulay has the ability to get hot in a hurry and knock down perimeter jumpers in flurries.

[player_tooltip player_id='2893813' first='Noah' last='Zeola'] | 2028 | Orange Lutheran

Zeola rarely meets a shot he doesn't like and his combination of streamlined mechanics, shot-ready footwork and a hyper-quick release allow him to get his shot off in a hurry and shoot with deep range consistency. The 6-foot sophomore shooting guard was knocking down early transition threes in the game that we watched and has the ability to shoot a team back into a game.

Rayane Solhi | 2026 | Veritas

Solhi's combination of positional size and upper and lower body strength lend to his ability to be a consistent shooter from multiple spots and multiple ranges of the floor. The physical 6-foot-6 wing is a lethal catch-and-shooter from distance who can also put defenders on their heels with downhill dribbles into a pull-up jumper. Solhi also showed smart off-ball movement into balanced perimeter shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2215149' first='Trevor' last='Dickson'] | 2027 | Modesto Christian

Dickson found himself shooting a ton of comfortable three-point shots in Modesto Christian's last game of the event Sunday and he connected on at least nine of those attempts, including six in the first half against Mayfair. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard has a long, wiry frame with fluid shooting mechanics, a picturesque release and tight rotation on his ball. When given time and space, Dickson was among the best shooters we've seen this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2457665' first='Viktor' last='Babic'] | 2028 | Perry (AZ)

Babic is a smooth shooting lefty whose long, wiry 6-foot-7 frame makes him one of the more intriguing prospects out west in the 2028 class. Babic's fundamental mechanics, good balance and fluidity through his release and ability to play off of a shot fake into a pull-up jumper makes him a versatile wing offensive prospect.
