One word comes to mind when I watch Carson play, and that's Consistency! He is the heartbeat of a very good New Braunfels HS team. Outside of his leadership on the court, he brings a well-balanced game. He can get to scoring spots with good off-the-dribble moves, he has a solid mid-range game, and the 3-ball. He is also a strong rebounder, solid defender, and his IQ is already at the next level. Certainly one of the top players at this event.

What's not to like about Amare? He stands at [player_tooltip player_id='2557300' first='5'10' last=''](ish), but his game is much bigger than that. He is lightning quick with a handle that is on a string, he gets anywhere on the floor quickly, and makes you pay for any defensive mistakes with accurate 3's and/or pinpoint assists to his teammates. Overall, he was one of the best lead guards in the building. He is college-ready for sure. I'm excited to watch Antonian this season.

Trevaun is going to play a major part in the success of the SA Wagner team this year, and he showed me why this weekend. He is a long athletic wing, he loves to run the floor, finish hard at the rim and most importantly, he is a defensive stopper who likes to challenge/protect the rim. He has post moves, touch around the rim, and a midrange game. What's most important is that the physical and mental maturity is apparent. When all things come together, this season, Wagner is going to be fun to watch, but not so fun to match up with.

This was my first time seeing Malachi this year, and I'm glad I was able to catch up on him. He is very athletic, has a nice handle, finishes well at the rim, and he's a willing defender and rebounder. He fits in well with a very talented Unicorns team. It's clear he understands team dynamics because he doesn't force the issue, he plays to his strengths, and gives the team exactly what the moment calls for. I have several Unicorn regular-season games circled so I can see him and Carson together.

Jordan is a long, quick player with a really quick first step that gets him by most defenders. He was living in the paint this weekend. On top of that, he finishes very strong around the rim with multiple moves. What I like most about him is that he really works hard on every possession, he gets 50/50 balls, rebounds, and he will lock up on Defense.

Damien is a big, punishing PG that is a true point guard. Because of his muscled-up frame and solid handle, he can get anywhere on the floor at any time. He can finish off the dribble with a solid pull-up game, finish with contact, or pinpoint passes to his teammates for easy baskets. He will bully smaller guards on defense and he can guard bigger guys because of his strength. He's next level ready. The right program will love having him.
