Trevaun is going to play a major part in the success of the SA Wagner team this year, and he showed me why this weekend. He is a long athletic wing, he loves to run the floor, finish hard at the rim and most importantly, he is a defensive stopper who likes to challenge/protect the rim. He has post moves, touch around the rim, and a midrange game. What’s most important is that the physical and mental maturity is apparent. When all things come together, this season, Wagner is going to be fun to watch, but not so fun to match up with.

Tre Clark of Wagner High School plays most effectively when he’s allowed to roam. Roam defensively, blocking shots, deflections and running the court. Roam from, shooting guard through to the five spot, dictated on match up. On both offensive and defensive possessions most often will be the most physically gifted in the court. Tre’s length and athleticism allow Wagner to continue their attacking mode on defense. The pace allows for transitioning offense.

A true defensive specialist who made a consistent impact across multiple facets of the game. Clark spaced the floor offensively, crashed the glass, and defended multiple positions. His timing and effort were on full display chasing down fast breaks for blocks, while on offense he attacked as a straight-line driver, embracing contact and consistently putting pressure on the paint with minimal dribbles.

Defensively, he anchored his team like a linebacker, being vocal, physical, and locked in. He disrupted straight-line drives, walled up in the paint without fouling, beat offensive players to their spots, and closed out with intensity to deter perimeter passes. His ability to defend both post and perimeter made him a true two-way asset and a defensive leader on the floor.
