Super Summary

Denfeld went to state from 7AAA off of an excellent season. Their all state guard Marnaries Ferguson has graduated but Denfeld has quality players returning from their line-up including junior [player_tooltip player_id='2877064' first='Carter' last='Brown'] who has some strong potential, [player_tooltip player_id='2466472' first='Lee' last='Brooks'] who is now a senior guard and scored nine points a game last year, and senior post [player_tooltip player_id='2910340' first='Antonio' last='Brown'] who scored eight points a game with 7.5 rebounds a contest. The pieces to get back to state are there.

Also returning a lot of their talent from a season ago is Hibbing. [player_tooltip player_id='2126126' first='Ray' last='Brau'] averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds a game last season and he's an all State player that returns. Hibbing lost three seniors from the rotation but they return all four players that averaged double figures last year including Jack Bottoms, [player_tooltip player_id='1585301' first='Evan' last='Bolden'], Adam Reckmeyer and Brau. Hibbing is a contender.

If we had to pick out one more contender it would likely be Grand Rapids. GR has [player_tooltip player_id='1560804' first='Joey' last='Sutherland'] back from a .500 team and he was their best player. There are other teams that should take a step forward but they have likely too much ground to make up to compete with the section leaders.
