LONG BEACH — The annual Ron Massey Memorial Fall Hoops Classic is one of the must-attend events of the fall and this year's kick-off event brought together some of SoCal's top high school programs and players Saturday at McBride high school. Below we take a closer look at some new names who emerged as prospects to track.

Chris Davis | 2028 | Redondo Union

Davis is a long, wiry and fluid sophomore who showed flashes of his perimeter offensive skill-set. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard has the ball skills and feel to create for himself in isolation and score around the rim and also possesses touch off the catch out to the three-point line. A long-term prospect to keep an eye on at Redondo.

Cole Morgan | 2026 | Chaminade

Morgan was a key cog in Chaminade's win over Los Alamitos as the senior showed his sharpshooting ability off the catch - especially from the corner three spot. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard has good positional size, fluid shooting mechanics and a quick and high release that allows him to get his shot off in a hurry.

Kevin Singleton, Jr. | 2027 | Inglewood

With Inglewood's star player out, Singleton used the opportunity for more offensive touches to his advantage. The 6-foot-3 combo guard showcased a crafty handle, savvy creating ability and creative finishing around the rim. Singleton manipulated defenders with his changes of speed and direction which allowed him to get into the lane where he scored on high percentage looks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2349465' first='Oliver' last='Nakra'] | 2026 | Corona del Mar

Nakra impressed with his true jump shooting ability as the Sea Kings' senior elevated quickly off the floor and released smoothly at the peak of his jump. The 6-foot two guard elevated over the top of defenders which limited the impact of closeouts and his confidence, deep range and shot-readiness made him one of the better pure shooters we saw Saturday.

Phoenix Smith | 2028 | Crespi

Smith is a quick and shifty point guard who used his combination of change of direction and burst off the bounce to earn paint touches which created offensive looks for himself and teammates. The 5-foot-8 sophomore is your prototypical small guard whose quickness off the bounce and speed in transition put immense pressure on the defense.

Riley Bowers | 2028 | Los Alamitos

Bowers brings physicality and toughness to the guard position that you don't often see from a sophomore. The 6-foot-1 off-guard used his strong frame, balanced base and aggressive downhill speed to get to the rim in transition where he finished through contact. Where Bowers stood out most was on the defensive end and in his pursuit of winning plays as he was consistently on the floor for loose balls, tipping passes and causing havoc defensively with his energy and effort.

Zaelyn Corral-Wyse | Los Alamitos

Corral-Wyse has all the makings of the next really good guard out of Los Alamitos. The 6-foot-2 combo guard has a long, wiry frame, is super smooth off the bounce and has that natural creating feel in isolation that you look for in a scoring guard. Corral-Wyse showcased impressive burst with his first step that allowed him to earn paint touches and create for himself and teammates.
