PH Sophomore ID Camp: Breaking Down Team 2 Play

The Sophomore ID Camp did not disappoint. From the opening tip to the final whistle, the gym was buzzing with energy as some of the best young players in the area stepped into the spotlight. There was definitely some breakout performances, highlight reel plays, and rising prospects turning heads. This was a stage built for talent, and they most certainly delivered. If you weren't there, here's what you missed and who made the biggest statements of the day.    Harris displayed a strong feel for the game and found ways to contribute without always needing the ball in his hands. He worked off the ball with purpose, using cuts and smart reads to get himself open and create scoring chances. Once in position he attacked the rim with confidence, finishing with a nice blend of strength and touch. His ability to read defenses, relocate to soft spots, and stay active made him a constant scoring threat. Harris' high motor and awareness kept pressure on opponents and forced them to adjust every trip down the floor     Stamps impressed with his unselfish approach and ability to elevate those around him. As a true team player he displayed excellent vision, moving the ball quickly and finding open teammates in stride. Offensively he showed confidence in his mid range game, knocking down shots with rhythm and touch when defenders gave him space. His balance between scoring and facilitating made him a steady presence on the floor, someone who could control the tempo while still providing reliable offense. Stamps' combination of vision, decision making, and shot making gave his team a dependable contributor on both ends of the court     Holman brought energy and toughness every time he stepped on the floor. Offensively he showed a willingness to work without the ball, using constant movement and effort to create lanes and opportunities for his team. On the defensive end he applied relentless pressure, staying locked in on his assignment and making life difficult for opponents. What stood out most was the grit and tenacity Holman played with. He brought a competitive edge that set the tone and gave his team a spark. His effort, defensive presence, and willingness to do the little things made him an invaluable contributor throughout the showcase     Chester played big throughout the showcase, dominating the glass with his strength, positioning, and relentless pursuit of rebounds. Once he secured the ball he showed a polished arsenal of post moves, finishing inside with efficiency and composure. What was fun to watch from him though, was his shooting ability. He not only could knock down mid range looks, but he also stretched the floor with a deadly deep ball that kept defenders honest. Chester's combination of interior toughness, refined scoring inside, and perimeter shooting made him one of the most versatile and difficult matchups on the floor
