I expect a breakout season for Swartz at Great Crossing with a real opportunity to be one of the leaders for the defending state champs. A confident wing guard who can handle the ball and make plays off the dribble, Swartz had a couple impressive coast to coast takes off defensive rebounds and steals. Playing under control, Swartz can attack off the dribble and make things happen for himself or others. I expect Swartz to be a priority small college recruit when those types of schools really start to focus on 2027 prospects.

One of the more fun new names I discovered on Sunday, Washington packed a punch with his play. Changing speeds off the dribble and getting downhill early and often in the 5 on 5 action, opposing teams had a very tough time preventing Washington from getting to the rim. An explosive vertical athlete, Washington had a couple leakout slam dunks that showed off the pop. An obvious talent, I'm excited for the first opportunity to see Washington with his high school or grassroots team in the near future.

Freeman has had a nice fall at showcase events, standing out at the bleacher prospect showcase in Cincinnati a little over a month ago. Again I was impressed with the versatility Freeman showed me as he can defend multiple positions and rebound. I've started to see some development as a perimeter shooter as well and while it's a work in progress, that can only be improved by consistent reps and it seems like freeman is getting that.

I got to see Garr a few times in the summer and he impressed me with his physicality for his age. One of the stronger wings in the 2028 class, Garr is certainly not afraid of contact. On Sunday, Garr impacted the game in a lot of the ways I've seen before with toughness and showing the ability to knock down perimeter shots off the catch. I think I was most impressed by Garr's left handed finishing at the rim on Sunday, making some tough shots at the basket with his off hand.

One of the top prospects in Kentucky regardless of class, Mitchell has been busy at showcase events being named a standout at the CP3, Next Up Recruits and now Prep Hoops showcases. Mitchell's ability to create shots for himself on the perimeter is next level and his high activity levels make him one of the most productive kids on any court he steps on. Expect a monster season from him this winter at Male as they are expected to compete for a state title. While Mitchell is making some buzz at the national level, he's also standing out vs local competition as well.
