Freshman Showcase: The Size to Know

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2896436' first='Madani' last='Camara'] of St. Cloud Tech. Madani is a strong 6'4 with some lefty skill that really catches the eye. Nice little touch and at his size around the basket nobody can knock him off balance to stop him from finishing. Playing against so many little guards in this event Camara blocked some shots and grabbed some boards like he was a first grade physical education teacher playing with the kids. But he also made some skilled plays that really opened the eyes. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2916849' first='Mekhi' last='Abner'] of Minnehaha Academy. When it comes to high percentage finishers, that was Abner at this event. If the ball found him anywhere in the paint, Abner's hands and footwork led to a score five times out of six occasions. He is going to work nicely for the Hawks playing next to Troup. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2859812' first='Landon' last='Chambers'] of Prior Lake. Landon had a really nice season with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] and he carried that over this weekend with a strong camp. Good size at his age with the ability to step away from the basket and be a stretch forward. Nice touch that looks like he can play inside-out. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2848504' first='Liam' last='Jensen'] of Park Center. Liam is about 6'7 and he was likely the biggest player at the freshman event. He's stronger than the rest of the players but I really liked his engagement. He was vocal, made an effort to consistently defend, and played hard which is not always the case at guys his size. There is potential here because Liam is a willing competitor in the paint. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2808557' first='Brody' last='Pesta'] of Eastveiw. Brody is another guy at 6'5 that caught my eye. Did some hard working things rebounding, finishing going to the rim, setting good screens, and defending. More lunch pail and playing active than flashy, but productive which committed the name to memory for the future. </p>
