Freshman Showcase – Team 4 Player Evaluations

<p>The Prep Hoops Michigan Freshman Showcase was a top notch event featuring some exciting talent entering high school this year. He looked ready for the physicality at the high school leve. Ngoma in fact controlled the physicality of the game. He was comfortable with contact and played effectively through it.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Noteboom will be a player to keep an eye on through high school. There's some very real upside to this young man's game. He played with consistent energy and effort. Noteboom showed that he was willing to make hustle plays, and hustle plays often win games.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Smoker is a talented player that left his mark at the showcase. He was comfortable with the ball in his hands, but was willing to swing it to get himself and teammates good looks at the rim. Smoker worked hard off the ball and played with pace.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Towns had himself a day in Grand Rapids. He showed that he could both score and distribute at a high level. Towns buried catch and shoot 3's from the wing and corner and finished at the rim multiple times in transition. Towns had a few pretty dishes as well. He had a highlight reel no look pass on the move for an assist.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Worthem made a statement last weekend. He showed that his jumper is legit, hitting a smooth catch and shoot corner triple. Worthem flaunted his fast first step throughout the day. He was able to put the ball on the floor, get to the rim, and finish through contact.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2862823' first='Bryce' last='Wall'] backed up everything you may have heard about him and his game. He really looks like he's going to be a dynamic guard at Skyline. Wall moves well off the ball and can attack athletically with it. He showed off a solid jumper with 3 point range as well.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Benson turned some heads at the Freshman Showcase. He was very solid with the ball in his hands and was fast up and down the court. These 2 traits made Benson a natural when it came to leading the break. When he did, he made good decisions with where the ball should go.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Foster is a very skilled guard that will make noise over the years in high school hoops. He looked like a shifty guard that knows how to make plays. Foster showed speed down the floor, beating the defense back and getting high percentage scoring opportunities because of it. He showed off a legit hesitation move that he used to get to the rim and score.</p>
