As the Summer nears an end and the basketball winds down, we will recap some of the notable player offers, movements, and performances from across South Carolina over the past two months. Next up in this series is “Prospects Who Shot the Ball Well”, highlighting players who impressed with their perimeter shooting ability - a key attribute in the modern game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470146' first='Chase' last='Walters'] (Nation Ford) - First up on the list of prospects who shot the ball well is [player_tooltip player_id='2470146' first='Chase' last='Walters']. This Summer, I got to see Chase with Nation Ford at Gregg Nibert's Camp of Champs and with Ace Skill Development Elite at the Phenom Summer Havoc. On both occasions, he was very efficient with his shots while also helping out as a playmaker. Keep an eye on Walters' leadership this season, as he looks to help the young talent around him come into their own.

[player_tooltip player_id='2376076' first='Mason' last='Folk'] (Chapin) - Mason is very much an under-the-radar prospect in the 2026 class, but don't sleep on his ability to shoot the ball. The lefty has a very consistent stroke from the outside but is also a scrappy defender with active hands and an unselfish passer. Folk also draws rave reviews from his coaches for his ability to play his role and simply accept and adapt to coaching.

[player_tooltip player_id='2027918' first='Tucker' last='Scholl'] (Greenville) - Scholl is well-established as one of the top shooters in the state of South Carolina. Although Tucker had a very good June with the defending 5A D2 State Champs, he took his game to another level in July with [program_tooltip program_id='2845772' first='Hoopzters' last='']. Scholl put up dominant scoring game after dominant scoring game on the Big Shots circuit, including a 40-point game with 10 made threes during the live period.

[player_tooltip player_id='1997737' first='Colton' last='Kreger'] (Powdersville) - Colton's combination of size and shooting is something that will soon land him on college coaches' recruiting boards. At 6'5", Kreger has the ability to shoot over defenders and affect the game on the defensive end. Most opponents respect his shot, but this Summer Colton has shown strides with his finishing ability, which now gives him the balance he needs to be a true offensive threat.

[player_tooltip player_id='2722116' first='Roman' last='Ruggiero'] (Eastside) - Rounding out the list of prospects who shot the ball well is [player_tooltip player_id='2722116' first='Roman' last='Ruggiero']. He built on an impressive Freshman Season with a strong scholastic period with the Eastside Eagles. They looked like a high-powered offense in June, and Roman was a key part of that. Ruggerio is very comfortable catching and shooting on the perimeter or pulling up with one or two dribbles in the mid-range.
