TUSTIN, Calif. — The sixth Hoops By Ugland (yes, me) Skills Summit brought together 145 prospects from across Southern California and beyond Sunday at Tustin high school. There was a mix of highly-touted, under-the-radar and unknown prospects all of whom got to showcase their abilities in front of many of the region's top scouts and media. Below we break down the top long-term shooting guard and wing prospects in the event and how they performed.

Orji showed all the physical and athletic tools of a Division I prospect. The 6-foot-7 wing moved fluidly and displayed coordinated athleticism that allowed him to cover ground quickly and finish plays above the rim. He flashed ball skills to create on the perimeter and showed savvy scoring touches inside. Defensively, his impressive length and instincts stood out as a shot blocker and disruptor around the basket. Orji's upside as a two-way wing is undeniable.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436297' first='Davey' last='Harris'] | 2027 | Windward

Harris impressed with his combination of power, athleticism, and offensive skill. The 6-foot-6 wing used his strong, physical frame and explosive vertical pop to make an impact in transition and at the rim. He proved to be a skilled three-level scorer with the ability to dribble, pass, and shoot in the half court. Harris moved smoothly in space and consistently put pressure on defenders with his versatile attack. His blend of size, athleticism, and skill makes him one of the more intriguing long-term prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956522' first='Jackson' last='Haggins'] | 2026 | Roosevelt

Haggins established himself as one of the top perimeter threats in the gym. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard is an elite three-point shooter off the catch with deep and consistent range beyond the arc. He showed high IQ shot selection, rarely forcing attempts and taking advantage of defensive breakdowns. Haggins' good positional size allowed him to shoot comfortably over defenders, and his improved ball-handling gives him added versatility. His ability to stretch defenses made him a constant weapon on the floor.

JoJo Mariles | 2029 | Damien

Mariles was the youngest among the top performers, but he played with a polish beyond his age. The 6-foot-3 guard is a smooth perimeter scorer who specializes in creating three-point and mid-range jumpers off the bounce. He displayed savvy footwork when creating space, using pivots, step-backs, and rhythm dribbles to get clean looks. Mariles' confidence as a shot-maker stood out throughout the event. His scoring ability and maturity make him a name to watch in the coming years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425764' first='Semaj' last='Carter'] | 2026 | Roosevelt

Carter brought a strong physical and athletic presence to the backcourt. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard thrived getting downhill, using his size and strength to finish through contact at the rim. He showed flashes as a capable perimeter scorer, both spotting up and attacking closeouts. Defensively, Carter used his frame and activity to contest shots and rebound effectively from the guard spot. With continued development of his perimeter skill set, he has the tools to grow into a well-rounded two-way guard.
