What prospects at the post position across all classes emerged this summer putting themselves in the position to make a splash in our next rankings update? Here we examine some of the top players that did just that along with breaking down our thoughts on them from the event that they broke out!

[player_tooltip player_id='2886358' first='Blake' last='Renfro'] (McHenry – 2026)

Definitely small college potential with this 6'7” power forward. Good athlete for his size that had a nice spinning layup and got to the charity stripe.

[player_tooltip player_id='2864911' first='Jumir' last='Aguda-Batie'] (Kenwood – 2026)

Intriguing upside play for Kenwood. Long and lanky four man that has potential as a rim runner, lob threat, and shot blocker.

[player_tooltip player_id='2415527' first='Colin' last='Cimino'] (Riverside Brookfield – 2026)

Cimino is a 6'6” four man to track. Floor spacer that had a clean shot from distance and was fouled on a fluid post move.

[player_tooltip player_id='2876529' first='Aris' last='Morgan'] (Rock Island – 2026)

The big man has a physical frame with good mobility. He finished well in pick/roll situations and was a dominant rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id='2962192' first='Avann' last='King'] (Warren – 2026)

This big man plays his role and has starred in it for Warren. Super active offensive rebounder that plays with a high-motor. He is going to make a significant impact this season on a state title contender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2439327' first='Jalil' last='Amous'] (Lincoln Park – 2026)

The Lincoln Park 6'4” big bodied post has nimble footwork and ball skills. He can handle it, shoot from three, and score with his strength/touch combo down in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2797229' first='Jaeden' last='Sanders'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2821675' first='Jahari' last='Sanders'] (Joliet Catholic – 2028)

These rising sophomore twins popped for [program_tooltip program_id='2075515' first='Hoops' last='4 Health'] when we saw them in July. Long and lanky four men that have potential on both ends of the floor. Definitely going to be tracking them this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2963387' first='JJ' last='Duffin'] (Peoria – 2028)

Duffin has a lot of intriguing tools as a 6'4” combo forward with long arms and broad shoulders. He is super quick to the offensive glass for put backs as the bouncy forward also impacted defensively blocking shots.
