The 2029 class is still years away from varsity dominance, but the foundation is already being laid. Florida has quickly become a hotbed for national-level prospects, and this offseason has brought some movement and early storylines to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2765447' first='Josiah' last='Brooks'] | G | SLAM

Brooks, a 6-2 left-handed guard, has transferred from Hialeah Educational Academy to SLAM Miami for his freshman year. Ranked as the top point guard in Florida's 2029 class, Brooks combines natural playmaking instincts with scoring ability. His feel for the game sets him apart, and joining SLAM gives him a stage to prove himself against tougher competition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2767538' first='Draydne' last='McDaniel'] | F | Prolific Prep

One of the biggest headlines in the country belongs to McDaniel. At 6-7, 205 pounds, the forward has transferred from Calvary Christian Academy to national powerhouse Prolific Prep. Just 14 years old, McDaniel already flashes the size, athleticism, and skill set to compete with older competition — something he showcased last season playing up with OTE's Fear of God squad. He's a legitimate early candidate to push for the No. 1 spot in the class of 2029.

[player_tooltip player_id='2765469' first='Cayden' last='Gaskins'] | F | Columbus

Standing around 7 feet, Gaskins has already earned a reputation as a dominant presence in the paint for Nightrydas Elite. His soft mid-range touch, rebounding instincts, and rim protection make him a two-way force. Add in his motor — sprinting end to end — and you've got one of the most physically imposing prospects in Florida's young core.

[player_tooltip player_id='2950870' first='Chudier' last='Diew Yak'] | F | North Broward Prep

At 6-9, Yak is still raw, but his flashes are too good to ignore. He's already a consistent rim threat, finishing dunks with authority and running the floor with energy. Defensively, his shot-blocking presence changes games, and as his awareness and timing sharpen, his long-term ceiling will climb. Yak is one of those prospects you circle now and check back in a few years.

Reggie Evans Jr. | G | SLAM

The son of former NBA veteran Reggie Evans, Evans Jr. is beginning to carve out his own lane. He showed poise and scoring ability at the Miami Beach Alliance Tournament, hinting at the upside that makes him one to follow. At SLAM, he'll have the platform to continue expanding his game and prove he can stand on his own name in Florida's 2029 class.
