The talent was on full display Friday night, as the Britton-Hecla Braves hosted the Hamlin Chargers in the opening night of South Dakota High School Football. The Chargers and Northern State basketball commit [player_tooltip player_id='1545637' first='Jackson' last='Wadsworth'] didn't waste any time finding the end zone, and did it rather well all evening. The raw athleticism of Wadsworth, Jonathon Leonardi, [player_tooltip player_id='2059565' first='Boden' last='Stevenson'], and several others was hard for the Braves to get a handle on. Hamlin made it very evident that they wanted the ball in Wadsworth's hands, and would lean on his IQ and athletic ability to make play after play, whether throwing dots through the air to Stevenson or running the QB option with Leonardi. The same could be said on the defensive side of the ball for Hamlin, as the Braves just couldn't seem to get anything going offensively. A bright spot for the Braves came through the impressive route running and sticky hands of [player_tooltip player_id='2496380' first='William' last='Richter'] at receiver. Richter showed off some shifty footwork and speed when given the opportunity. I expect the Braves to find ways to get the ball in his hands more and spread the field as the season progresses. They have a ton of talent on this team and I expect to see them shake this loss off and find their groove soon.

Pure athlete that can shoot it, and finish as well as anyone in his class. The combo guard showed he can fill it up from deep as well as push the pace with ease. Boden will be another highly sought after prospect from Hamlin over the next 2 years. Get in early on this guy.

The futures always bright in Hamlin and Trig is just that. A long bodied, athletic kid that will push the upper classman all year. Heinrich had a great summer with Heiser. His footwork has really improved and his paint presence is improving a lot.

I look for Jack to step up and give the Chargers a big boost this season.
