One of the highest upside bigs in Ohio, Howard has an excellent combination of size, athleticism and fluidity. Playing with Indy Heat 15 U I got to see Howard compete against some more physically developed bigs and saw how he responded. Still with a lot of room to grow, Howard seemed to improve as the summer went on and showed intriguing flashes on both ends of the court as a play finisher and shot blocker. Name to monitor in northeast Ohio in the 2028 class.

One of the top stretch forwards in the 2028 class, Arlinghaus can knock down perimeter shots at an efficient rate against tough competition. For [program_tooltip program_id='2320052' first='All' last='Ohio Red'], Arlinghaus was catching and shooting the ball with confidence on the 15 U EYBL circuit. I've mentioned before how stacked Moeller's 2028 and 2029 classes are and Arlinghaus is a key building block for the future. If you can make shots at Arlinghaus size, you will have interested college programs by the time you get to your senior year.

Van Wert is a top northwest Ohio program on both the gridiron and hardwood and Crummey is a key building block for their athletic programs. A forward who showed senior potential as a freshman, Crummey had some big-time dunks and blocks and continued to impact the game with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] 15 U team this summer. Crummey is able to finish with either hand and showed impressive passing vision for a forward of his age. I expect Crummey to become one of the most productive forwards in Ohio in due time if he continues to work on his game and develop in the off-season, lots of skill for his size and age.

Kelly was productive in Rock Hill for a Phenom United 15 U team that went on a nice run in the Palmetto Road Championship. Kelly is an athletic forward who plays with a high motor and wants to run in transition, crash the offensive glass and cut to the basket. I'm impressed that Kelly is able to play a role on his team with such energy and works to get himself opportunities to score at the rim. Northmont could be a sneaky team in the GWOC this season and Kelly is a crucial young building block for their program.

One of the tallest players in the 2028 class across the state, Byerly got a cup of coffee at the varsity level as a freshman and could be set for a breakout sophomore season with Jonathan Alder. Byerly impressed me with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] due to his ability to stand tall in the paint, get rebounds on both ends and make a couple contested finishes. Most bigs take a little longer to develop and reach their potential compared to guards and I think Byerly is in a good position to start to turn the corner and make an impact at the varsity level.

Williams was another forward who impressed me in Rock Hill as he stood out for Wildcat Select 15 U. Williams did what you want to see from young bigs which is play physically in the paint, finish at the rim and rebound. When Williams had a runway to finish he could even play above the rim and was consistently productive both on the stat sheet and in overall impact. If Williams grows over the next few years or expands his game, he has a chance to rise up this list as the years go on.
