The Platform: Efficient Distributors

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Platform was in Chicago over the weekend. I had the opportunity to see teams compete from the classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029 from across the Midwest in Bedford Park, IL. We got to see plenty of solid guard play action over the course of 3 days. Played up an age level this weekend. Against older classmen still possesses a quick first step. Gets nifty off the bounce. Primarily will handle but obviously can score it as well. Had a couple pick pockets for take-a-ways showing quick hands defensively. Utilized pitch ahead passes to big man for assists. Shares the rock consistently in multiple facets within flow of offense. Will hang around the glass to board at times. Plays team's main ball handler and has a pass first mentality. Gets into the lane and draws steps from other defenders. Sees the open man from driving and will kick or dish accordingly. Quick 2 dribble crossover, hesitation, euro step, and transition takes were all fair game for the future Viking guard. Was able to change speeds along with widening his dribble to get past defender's reach. Made a baseline take off a hesitation dribble, cut hard through lane for an And 1, spotting up from 3, and going coast to coast in transition. Had the ball in his hands a lot for good reason. A well established passer. Dished to cutters and pitched it ahead to wings for fast scores.
