This article is a continuation of my evaluations at the TABC Showcase a couple weekends ago. With over 500 teams, there was plenty of action to scout between four different values all in Dallas. Many of the players in attendance were well known and rose their stock greatly, but there were also some guards who I had the pleasure of watching that may not be as well-known as others across the state. Let's examine the games of some of these guards who stood out to me.

Ian was a sharpshooting machine for Little Elm on Saturday afternoon. Berry is a very quick and high IQ player who picks his spots well and has no problem firing up shots from deep, even with close defense on him. Ian also knows how to be a consistent playmaker with the ball in his hands and has a knack for finding open teammates anywhere on the offensive side of the ball. I was most impressed with Ian's off ball movement and this team definitely benefits his style of play with him running around off ball screens and constantly moving even when he does not have the ball in his hands.

Amare was one of the more complete guards I was able to scout on Saturday morning. He helped his team in all facets of the game and was a 3-level scorer as well as a vocal leader and point guard. Guerra has great energy and hustle on both ends of the court, as well scoring at will despite being undersized. He was constantly able to use quickness, and a variety of dribble moves to beat defenders to the basket and finish through hard fouls or tough defense. One of the higher IQ point guards I was able to watch this weekend, Amare has been making waves all summer playing for [program_tooltip program_id='2542538' first='Houston' last='Hoops EYBL'] and has definitely gotten his name on plenty of radars. I know I will definitely be watching him more closely as the summer goes on now!

Sean is a very versatile two-way wing for the Seven Lakes Spartans and will play a huge role this upcoming season. He is a combo of underrated athleticism, hardnosed physical defense, and a smart offensive game. He does not take bad shots, gets to his spots, and is not selfish with the basketball. Mwesigwa is always seen as a positive teammate and is usually the most vocal player on defense. He is constantly the first one down the floor in transition and is a good finisher in the midrange and under the rim. He will continue to be one of the more complete two-way players in Houston for the 2026 school year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252491' first='Ryan' last='Hampton'] was a great combo guard for Dynamic Prep in their dominating win over SA [player_tooltip player_id='2382174' first='Brennan' last='']. He scored from all levels of the floor, as well as being an intimidating presence on defense and leading the transition on fastbreak attempts. Hampton uses his size to score over the top of opponents on jump shots and in the paint, as well as drawing fouls at a good rate and he is a big-time physical defender on the perimeter and utilizes his long wingspan to play passing lanes well. His stock was already on the rise, but he increased it even more with his play from TABC in Duncanville.
