Scottie Adkinson Commits To Missouri

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Class of 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='2334870' first='Scottie' last='Adkinson'] of Webster Groves has given a commitment to stay in-state and attend the University of Missouri.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A 6'3" guard, Adkinson was the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state after leading Webster Groves to the Class 5 state championship. He was also the Prep Hoops Missouri Class 5 Player of the Year and the No. 1 ranked player in the Class of 2027.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mizzou head coach Dennis Gates made Adkinson a top priority in his recruiting and he was able to get an early commitment. Adkinson made his announcement on his social media account on Tuesday afternoon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As a sophomore, Adkinson averaged 24.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.19 steals while shooting 42 percent from 3-point range with 58 made triples. He had some huge performances during the season including a 43-point outburst against Class 6 state-runner up Chaminade in February. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the Final Four of the state tournament, Adkinson scored 30 points in the state semifinals against Westminster and 29 points in the state championship game against Summit Christian.
