The PrepHoopsTN Summer Combine (2025) featured ambitious hoopers, predominately from the classes of 2026-2028. For the rest of the summer, we will be featuring the campers with evaluations and measurements from the day, June 22nd, 2025.

Quick feet. Sharp cuts. Blazing 3/4-court sprinter. Wilbur recorded two sizzling times (3.15, 3.20) sprinting from the baseline to the finish line. Wilbur blossomed this past junior year as he ascended into a prominent role. Wilbur earned All-District and will battle for District MVP in 2025-2026. DJ takes coaching very well. Likeable teammate. Does not need to get a ton of shots to feel good about himself. High-basketball IQ. More than ever, Wilbur knows where his shots are coming from on the floor.

Bouncy. A four with wing potential. Mentally, he thrives as a power forward even center. The game is mostly acclimated to finishing around the rim with athleticism and guile. When he gets to the wing there is more hesitation and unease. Throughout the fullcourt portions, after the first half of this evaluation was written hit a handful of three-pointers and appeared quite comfortable. He was not hitting off of the dribble though, and perhaps this would be an element to develop further.

Heady point guard. Can take a bump, absorbing it with his shoulders now. Improved change of direction. Poised. Fringe All-Star for the event. Consistent effort. Chris can do a little of everything. Shoot it, pass it, defend, dribble. No glaring weaknesses. Consummate teammate. Cares about the right things.

Powerful legs. Daxton is a handful around the rim because he leaps high and finishes high. Very strong shoulders. Surprisingly, Daxton posted a blazing sprint speed (3.06 seconds). Older brother Maguire Evans featured on his school's 4x400 this past spring before graduating. Unafraid of contact. Daxton is starting to look more like a football player than a hooper as he bulks up his physique. Daxton plays linebacker for Cleveland HS.

High effort guy. Quick enough. Amazing wingspan. Lazy on the blockout on one play. Mike Alex Mike Alex 6'4" | PF Red Bank | 2026 State TN did not even have to change his path to get to the rebound. At 6'4", Zavion nearly has a wingspan four inches longer than his height. Must be a point guard after high school due to his height. This will make it tough as he will never get to play primary PG at Tyner because Kohl Ward Kohl Ward 5'9" | PG Tyner Academy | 2027 State TN is there. Zavion did move very well without the ball, never crowding his fellow guards. Quick defensive feet though he defended with his hands down allowing an open jumper after Stallion impressively stopped the drive.

Zavion's wingspan measured 6-foot-4, which revealed a +3.5" difference.

Pure stroke. Looks the part of a "2". His release takes a while, but looks nice. Perhaps he could quicken it just a touch. He won't jump over guys. Cares about rebounding. Solid court vision in the open floor. Wigginton showed decent mid-air agility.
