Red Bank opened up a bit of lead late in the second quarter (27-22) with spirited and frenetic defense. Wilbur was aided by a team full of feet-movers. One of DJ’s best moments came midway through the third quarter off a pick’n’roll along with Mike Alex Mike Alex 6'4" | PF Red Bank | 2026 State TN . Wilbur curled to his left and slung a side armed lefty pass to a slashing Alex for two. DJ made one of his two free throw attempts in the final 20 seconds, which left the door open for Heritage to tie or win at the horn.

1/13/26: Unrivaled confidence. DJ dressed and played varsity as a sophomore. The guy has been through the wars, seen it all. Like Rodney Henderson III last season with Tyner Academy DJ Wilbur DJ Wilbur 5'10" | PG Red Bank | 2026 State TN is focused on the destination more than the ride. The team follows his lead, and Wilbur focuses on all of the right things. High-character. Exceptional shooting touch. His early performance versus Soddy Daisy set the tone along with the Jones cousins. Wilbur finished the win with 21 points on 5-9 from beyond the arc. The guard also helped with five assists.
