[player_tooltip player_id='1624397' first='Justin' last='Cheng'] (2026 Westview/[program_tooltip program_id='2736879' first='Team' last='Progress']) - Justin impressed us with being explosive off the dribble, which led to easy drives to the basket. Cheng, a 6-foot-2 combo guard, scored 11 points in [program_tooltip program_id='2736879' first='Team' last='Progress']'s win against Grants Pass. Justin also battled on getting rebounds on both sides of the floor and dished out some nice passes to his teammates in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1602196' first='Rafael' last='Ochoa'] (2026 North Salem/Undisputed) - One of the more explosive guards we saw on Saturday was [player_tooltip player_id='1602196' first='Rafael' last='Ochoa']. He displayed his shifty ball-handling skills in the half-court and also wasn't afraid of contact, either, as he got to the foul line quite a bit. Another thing we noticed about Rafael's game was his ability to shoot the ball from outside. We liked his confidence to take shots off the catch and the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='2356522' first='Kasen' last='Lariz'] (2026 Forest Grove/GRIT) - Lariz, standing at 6-foot-5, was one of the top shooters we saw on Saturday. Kasen, in the one game we saw him play, went 3/3 from behind the 3-PT line. He's a good spot-up shooter; if you leave Kasen open in the corner or on the wing, expect him to make the shot. Lariz received an offer from Pacific University last month.

Dylan Trobetsky (2025 Valley Catholic/GRIT) - At the Portland Rise, Trobetsky was one of the top scorers we scouted. Dylan, a Calvin University signee, led his team in scoring with 20 Points in their game against Grants Pass. He could do a little bit of everything, as he scored from all three levels. Another thing that impressed us was his motor, he was continually leading the break and helped keep his team in the game against a tough team.

Tai Zimmerman (2026 St Marys/GRIT) - Zimmerman, a 6-foot-2 combo guard, was active on defense as he was seen getting stops/deflections. He was solid from the free-throw line, going 4/4. Also, he could knock down the three once in a while. Zimmerman finished with 12 points in his game against Grants Pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2393078' first='Gavin' last='Gates'] (2026 Estacada/[program_tooltip program_id='2078849' first='Team' last='Fly']) - From the one game we saw Gates play, he led his [program_tooltip program_id='2078849' first='Team' last='Fly'] in scoring with 14 Points in their win against La Center. Gavin, a 6-foot guard, could get to the rim with ease and be a decent shooter from the 3-point line. He was also very effective on the defensive end, forcing turnovers against the opposition.
