Team camp at the University of Oregon took place in late June, and many of the top teams in the state - especially from Central and Southern Oregon - came into Eugene to compete. What we love about these events is getting to really get a look at some players for the very first time, and here are a few of them that caught our eye that Sunday.

[player_tooltip player_id='2517071' first='Pearce' last='Atchley'] (2027 South Medford) - Long and lanky at 6-foot-6, Atchley does have to play inside for South Medford but from what we observed his strength is stepping outside and knocking down perimeter jumpers. He showed off his smooth stroke, especially from the baseline and corners, in dropping 16 points in a win over Del Norte (Calif.). The Panthers should be a balanced squad this season but Atchley should be one to watch out for with his ability to create mismatches.

Grady McKittrick (2026 Grants Pass) - McKittrick was a rotation guy last season but given his play in the final game of the day against Trinity Lutheran, he'll be a go-to guy for the Cavemen and new head coach Nate Olson. The 6-foot-2 rising senior looked good both with his jumper, hitting both threes and mid-range pull-ups, and was also effective using his ability to create off the bounce and score around the hoop

[player_tooltip player_id='2968920' first='Austin' last='Imhoff'] (2027 Trinity Lutheran) - One of the school's all-time greats Andrew Imhoff has moved on, but in comes younger brother Austin who will have an elevated role in 2025-26. The 6-foot-6 rising junior effectively utilized his height and bulk inside to establish position and get scores or draw contact, but also showed that he was capable of hitting some mid-range shots as well. He was tough on the boards and flashed some passing skills too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2913343' first='Ashton' last='Marcum'] (2026 Ridgeview) - A bit contributor last season, Marcum should be a key guy in 2024-25. In an early morning win, the rising junior was the consummate teammate, hitting open jumpers, setting screens, hitting the boards, and playing tough on the defensive end. At the end of the day, he finished as a great compliment to star post [player_tooltip player_id='2124991' first='Gavin' last='Leunen'] and tallied 10 points and 3 rebouds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2910117' first='Adrian' last='Zacarias'] (2029 Ridgeview) - Talking to Ridgeview head coach Maarty Leunen before the game about who we should keep an eye on and he mentioned Zacarias, who would be getting some playing time. The incoming freshman came off the bench and immediately drained a jumper, and played with a confidence and calmness beyond his years. He'll be one to follow as he continues to grow and develop physically.
