Made Hoops Summer Finale 2028 Newcomers

PH NorCal was at Momentous Sports Complex in Irvine, CA July 20 for the Cali-Live Summer Finale. Our goal was to see NorCal Prospect in action. We have some 2028 newcomers from this event who will go on the Watch List.    A fast speedy point guard with good ball handling skills. His speed and quickness with ball in hand allows him to keep defenders off balance at times. He's fast in transition, has quick dribble moves attacking. His court vision allows him to find teammates moving, cutting, to the basket or spotting up around the perimeter for shooters. He goes on the Watch List     Held his own playing up at the 17u level. A good ball handler, sees the court, a ball mover, probably a pass first point guard for now. He handled ball pressure bringing the ball up court, passed early. He set the offense in half-court, moving the ball around the perimeter. He had lateral movement to stay with ball handlers. We'll see more.     He had good drives into paint from the baseline, and wings looking to pass or get the layup, he was more than willing to dump it off to his bigs around the basket. He has a good size body gets his fair share of rebounds at this level. He played well off two, finished in traffic. He hit a couple of open 3's. Averaged 8pts a game on the JV last season.     A fast guard with foot speed on both sides of the ball. He's a good ball handler who can handle pressure bringing it up court using speed, and crossover dribbles. He makes cuts to the basket without the ball, has a good first step to get by a defenders, from the perimeter. He fills lanes, makes his layups. He'll go on the Watch List.     A long and still growing prospect. He does good things on the court without getting a lot of touches. Using his lengthy arms in the passing lanes for deflections and steals. He defends on the perimeter with foot movement, has size at the 15u level to help rebound. He runs the court hard back, and forth, fills lanes for transition layups. He's a ball mover, makes cuts, will finish around the rim. He has some tools to work with.     He has a size advantage standing 6'7 at the 15u level, nonetheless he made good use of it inside the key. He's deliberate with his movements, Hands ready to receive, then taking it up off two to finish around the rim. He'll get the rebound, find his handlers, then trail the play, might get a bucket, or rebound. He covers the paint, can distract drivers with his size.     He has lengthy arms, and foot speed to be a good defender, he moves his feet, has lateral movement, he recovers well, runs fast getting back to defend. He'll use his speed to turn the corner, get into the paint, for a floater.
