First up is [player_tooltip player_id='1560921' first='Levi' last='Ball']. He came out on a mission in GCA's matchup with Norcross (GA), looking as aggressive on the offensive end as I have seen him. Ball knocked down three of his first four attempts from behind the arc and finished 4-8, but all of his threes were smart shots within the flow of the offense. He also earned buckets inside the paint by driving closeouts, cutting off the ball, and setting up in the post. However, what was just as important as his scoring was his defensive effort on loose balls, on-ball defense, and 4 steals. Ball earned offers from Marshall, The Citadel, and Navy after his stellar showing on Saturday.

Despite only making one three, Sukhi did just about everything else to help Byrnes beat Miami Southridge (FL). He put up 17 points and 5 rebounds, showing another side of his offensive game while also contributing with defensive rebounding and playmaking. Singh got going early with a left-corner three and an and-1 dunk, which helped him find a rhythm and create space for his teammates. He had multiple first-half and-1s because he was strong and aggressive in driving the ball to his right. Sukhi also showed strides with his passing, making the right reads out of the paint and the extra pass on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1737994' first='Jaden' last='Johnson'] was a bright spot for the Cavaliers in a loss to Cedar Grove (GA). Despite facing a team with several bigger Guards and true rim protectors, Johnson looked unafraid of contests at the rim and on the perimeter. Part of that was his jump shot's quick release, which allows him to get the ball up before a defender can adjust. Jaden also stood out as a ball-handler, navigating traffic and excelling at high speeds. Johnson finished with 22 points in the loss, including 3 3PM and two and-1s.

Malik made some key plays in the second half to boost the Raiders. They matched up with The Walker School (GA) in Saturday's first game - a good test for the defending 3A State Champs. Brunson was crucial to the crunch-time closeout, hitting three second-half threes and adding an offensive putback and a nice baseline finish. His shooting success created more driving lanes for himself and others, and he is a guy that his coach trusts to run plays for. Malik finished with 10 points and 4 rebounds in the win.

Rounding out my list of Saturday's South Carolina Standouts from the GBCA Live Southeast Regional is [player_tooltip player_id='2872890' first='Dante' last='Kirksey']. Despite being just a rising 8th Grader, Kirksey has been a plug-and-play weapon for the Red Raiders this June. His mentality and length are two things that stand out, and he displayed them against Holy Innocents' (GA) this weekend. Dante didn't get any minutes in the first half, but stepped up immediately when called upon in the second half. He contributed with active hands and long arms on the defensive end, a right-wing three, and a pair of confident drives, finishing with 7 points and 1 steal in the loss.
