On Tuesday and Wednesday (7/1-7/2) of last week, I attended the All Academic Showcase at Babson College in Wellesley, MA. There were 400+ players there and 5 courts going on at once, so it was impossible for me to see/scout every team and player. I'll be having coverage of the event throughout this week, highlighting some players who played well and probably helped their college recruitment.

Bewley is a well-rounded, 6-foot-6 wing/big who can do a bunch of different things on the floor. His incredible length allows him to get steals in the passing lanes and on the ball defensively, and his athleticism makes him a solid rebounder. Offensively, he can knock down shots from the mid range and three and has nice footwork and touch in the lane when he bullies his way in there or runs the lane in transition. He probably won't be able to play at the highest level D3 schools, but I could imagine him finding a spot somewhere for sure.

Tully is a strong-bodied, 6-foot-4 lefty wing who bullied his way to the rim on numerous occasions and really impressed with his touch and body control. He had some nice step-back jumpers, too, and I really like the way he sprayed out to shooters once the defense collapsed on his drives; he threw strong and accurate over-the-head passes with ease, and he had really nice vision and quick decision making. He also fights his behind off for rebounds and on the defensive end. Definite D3 player somewhere, perhaps at a pretty high level.

Hutchison was one of the better athletes I saw at the showcase. He's 6-foot-6 and super strong-bodied, but he also has some athletic pop at the rim. He can burrow his way into the paint by using his strength and body but can also hit some shots from the outside and has nice touch in the mid range. Most impressive is his versatility — he can guard wings and bigs because of his strength and can even slide his feet a bit on the outside. Definite D3 guy right now with scholarship potential depending on how his season at Brewster goes. If he can improve his feel, scholarship offers could roll in.

Nally is an impressive 6-foot-6 wing who was EVERYWHERE on the floor when I watched his squad play. First up the court on offense, first back on defense, and on both of the boards relentlessly. He can also shoot it a bit from three. He does all of the little things and has a knack for finishing in the paint against bigger and stronger players; he has good timing, footwork and craft and some quickness and agility to his game that really helps him out. He's going to make a D3 school very happy with his motor and well-rounded offensive game.

Williams was one of the better athletes I saw at the showcase and really impressed with his inside-outside game. He can run the floor in transition and get above the rim for lobs, but he can also step outside on the perimeter and hit the three ball if the defense plays off of him. He has some nice wiggle to his offensive game but an improved handle would really raise his stock. Right now, there are tons of D3 schools that would take a chance on a 6-foot-5 athletic wing who can shoot it.
