With the spring and summer high school and club basketball seasons firmly in the rearview, we dug deep into our evaluations of the 2027 class in Southern California and put a fresh update on our rankings. There was a lot of movement among the top 50 prospects and below we break down who made the biggest jumps.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436274' first='Jordan' last='Hampton'] | Windward | Old: 35, New: 26

Hampton is stepping into his turn with confidence as a ball handler, playmaker and scorer at Windward and he showed great command of those skills and traits throughout the spring and summer. The 6-foot-2 point guard can be best described as solid. He is a steady decision-maker, stays true to his role as a connector, defends at a high level and knocks down open three-point shots when they come his way.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436286' first='Tristan' last='Anderson'] | Olympian | Old: 72: New: 27

Anderson is a smaller but super dynamic point guard who is a blur with the ball in his hands when attacking in transition. The 5-foot-7 rising junior has elite burst in transition and half-court offensive settings and that speed and quickness allow him to get by defenders with ease and into the lane where he can create for himself and others. Anderson is adept at finding open teammates but can fill up the scoring column in a hurry with off-bounce jumpers and savvy finishes around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815160' first='David' last='Conerly'] | Inglewood | Old: 36, New: 28

Conerly is one of the highest upside prospects in SoCal's 2027 class. The 6-foot-6 wing has a projectable frame with wiry length, long strides and fluid athletic ability both on the ball and when cutting and slashing to the rim. Conerly had some success on the EYBL 16's circuit with the Oakland Soldiers and that, combined with his upside as a true perimeter wing prospect, earned him a small bump in the latest update.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436255' first='Jayden' last='Yim'] | Corona Centennial | Old: 47, New: 42

Yim can do a little bit of everything offensively and his confidence to do so, along with his production at a high level at the 16u level with Compton Magic, earned him this five-spot bump. The 5-foot-10 combo guard has the feel, vision and playmaking ability to operate as a primary ball-handler and is advanced when creating for himself and others out of ball screens. Scoring-wise, Yim is a knockdown three-point shooter off the catch and off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id='2646948' first='Darrell' last='Bagsby'] | Leuzinger | Old: 57, New: 48

Bagsby is one of the more shifty ball handlers in this class. The 5-foot-9 lefty is an isolation specialist who uses changes of speed and direction and a quick right to left crossover to shake defenders and get into the lane where he finishes much bigger than his 5-foot-9 frame would lead you to believe. Bagsby is a savvy creator out of ball screen action with his ability to snake off of it and wiggle his way into the teeth of the defense.

Zaire Rasshan | Damien | Old: 62, New: 50

Rasshan showed that he will have a vastly increased role within the Damien offense in his junior season with the main separator being his ability to shoot. The 6-foot-1 guard is consistent both off the catch and off the bounce and gets great elevation on his mid-range jumper. Rasshan's ability to impact the game without needing a ton of dribbles will be a valuable trait for him as four-year schools come calling over the next two seasons.
