They were a strong group led by their backcourt of [player_tooltip player_id='1694957' first='Dane' last='Cassada'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1990408' first='Owen' last='Calvert'], both who put on a clinic on how to lead their team to victory. Cassada showed his worth with a step-through finish with less than a minute to go to lead Team Forsyth to a comeback victory in their first game of the day. Calvert led the way with 11 points in their decisive 51-48 victory over Team Davidson. Big man Noni Jones showed off his ability to finish around the rim for Team Forsyth. He went off for 10 points in their 50-30 victory over Team Davie/Yadkins/Wilkes. [player_tooltip player_id='2172117' first='Thomas' last='Thompson'] (Bishop McGuinness), [player_tooltip player_id='2896695' first='Arop' last='Chom'] (Bishop McGuinness) and Evan Truzy (RJ Reynolds) were a few other names who stood for Team Forsyth. Thompson was a versatile wing/forward who showed he could operate around the painted area. Chom showed he could operate inside and out with his athleticism at the guard spot. Truzy was their most impressive frontcourt player with his ability to finish tough and defend around the rim with his length.

2028s Put on A Show!

The rising prospects in the 2028 class were nothing short of impressive in showcasing their abilities on the Triad First 48 stage. [player_tooltip player_id='2947904' first='Draeton' last='Nance'] (Davie High), Abram Talbert (Atkins), [player_tooltip player_id='2947889' first='Noah' last='Dulin'] (Davie High) and Brennan Foster (Northeast Guilford High) were a few names who made an instant impact for their respective squads. Nance showed off his precision and prowess at the point guard spot, making plays, defending with energy and knocking down shots from deep. Talbert was arguably the best perimeter threat on the day, knocking down at least two 3-pointers in each game for Team Stokes/Surry. Dulin stood out for Team Davie/Yadkin/Wilkes with his ability to play above the rim and knock down shots from deep. He's a prospect with good upside to keep an eye on in the 2028 rankings over the next few years. Foster was a new face for PH who easily put himself on the radar following a strong outing. He's a quick guard who makes good decisions with the ball as a scorer and playmaker in the halfcourt. They certainly showed that there's some talent on the way in the next few years in the Triad area.
