Expert Analysis
Elan Muniz | Prep Hoops Scout
Calvert just plays like an older guard. Nothing rushed, nothing forced, he gets to his spots, makes the right read, and lets the game come to him. He can score it when needed, but what stood out most was how he controlled pace and kept everything organized. You trust him with the ball, and that matters.

The Newberry Signee is a natural scorer that doesn’t need much space to get his shot off and his showing in the ASG was no different. He scored the ball at a high rate from all three levels, converting on difficult shots and showed that the way he was defended did not alter his game.

Not many players play the game with the pace and poise of Calvert from Calvary Day School. He scores effectively from all three levels, is an above average defender who uses his strong frame to stop players from getting to their spots, and is a solid passer when needed. The senior guard finished with 20 plus points including a solid amount of threes from deep.

Easily one of the best scorers in the state, he put on an absolute scoring exhibition, scoring a game high of 45 Points. He has outstanding shooting range, knocking down shots from beyond NBA three point land with efficiency and also got into the paint and scored the ball with ease. He’s a vocal leader for his team but also does a nice job of leading on the court with his actions by simply being productive and competitive on every possession.
