What basketball prospects are also football prospects? We run you through that last today so you know who is a good hooper but an even better football player!

Note: Using the 2026 Prep Red Zone football rankings for this

(1) [player_tooltip player_id='1601069' first='Roman' last='Voss']. Athlete. The top 25/30 level hooper from JCC is a four star football prospect down to Minnesota and Alabama. He's the 177th ranked player in the nation.

(2) Andrew Trout. Offensive Line. The 2nd ranked football prospect in the state (committed to Minnesota) is a four star talent ranked 295th in the nation. He was Rocori's starting basketball center as a sophomore but was hurt last winter.

(3) [player_tooltip player_id='2119578' first='Pierce' last='Petersohn']. Athlete. Triton's all state hooper- Class AA and overall - is also a superstar football talent ranked 341st in the nation and has seven major conference offers. He's also an All American level track and field athlete. A top 25/30 level hooper.

(4) [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore']. Wide Receiver. Jayden is the only guy on this list that is a top ten (and arguably top five) level prospect in BOTH sports. The Hopkins speedster has a Gopher football offer.

(5) Caleb Francois. Athlete. On the basketball side we learned of the shooter/scorer that Caleb is when he was helping Tonka to a better year than expected. He committed to Iowa State last winter.

(6) [player_tooltip player_id='2118836' first='Micah' last='Fenney']. Edge Rusher. Prep Red Zone is really high on Fenney after his junior season. We've always loved his low post game at Norwood Young America. More football prospect than Baskeball but really good at both.

(7) [player_tooltip player_id='1521424' first='Kayden' last='Oakland']. Edge Rusher/TE. The long time Northfield scorer is a top 30 level hoops prospect but even more, he's a South Dakota State committed football talent joining Moore, Petersohn, and Voss as top 30 level prospects in both sports.

(8) Braden Petzel. Offensive Lineman. The 6'9 low post hooper was very good this weekend when we watched him on the court in the Breakdown Summer Series. It was there that we also learned that Braden is a division one committed football player (to Northern Illinois).

(9) [player_tooltip player_id='1560751' first='Weston' last='Rowe']. Offensive Lineman. The next Jackson County Central player on those list, Rowe is a double-double machine in the paint for his team. He's a Voss teammate now, but will be a [player_tooltip player_id='1521424' first='Kayden' last='Oakland'] teammate at SDSU a year from now.

(10) Kaden Harney. Quarterback. Wait! There are more Jacks. Oakland might catch passes from Harney while Rowe is protecting him. Harney is a very good hooper for Maple Grove but also a state champ on the football field.

(11) [player_tooltip player_id='2121332' first='Deron' last='Russell']. Defensive Back. The Waseca star is pushing to top 10/12 level basketball status and with nine d1 football offers including recent offers from Washington State and Colorado State I would have to imagine he's pushing to a similar top ten area spot on the football field.

(12) [player_tooltip player_id='1560831' first='Levi' last='Harris']. Defensive Back. The Elk River 20ppg scorer on the hardwood also has football offers from Army, Air Force, New Mexico, NDSU and several others so he is a top football recruit as well!
