Section 7: More 2026 Standouts

PH NorCal was at Section 7 in Mesa Arizona June 20-22. Known as one of the top West Coast Events. It's the live period when college coaches can sit courtside to evaluate potential prospects for their program. NorCal was well represented with 18 teams making the trip to the dessert. Here are more of the 2026 standouts we were able to see during Saturday's games.    He's establishing himself as the teams most productive player at this point. The hard playing guard contributes on both sides of the ball. He's a court runner. He'll score tough buckets playing through contact, hits the short jumper. He rebounds well, and gives effort defending his position.     Carraway is looking to have a breakout season as he's been playing well on both sides of the ball. He's a big guard with quality handles, speed and toughness, he's a willing passer. He can generate his own buckets in different ways. He gives effort and energy defending and helping rebound.     He looks a bit more settled with a season under his belt on this team, playing at a good pace. He's a good ball handling guard with blow by speed to get to the basket. He's squaring up nicely, he hit multiple 3's while we were watching. He's seeing the court better to deliver the pass. He has strength and foot speed to be a good defender.     A solid body forward who can handle the physical play inside. He can be forceful working his way through the post, using his body to finish around the rim, hit the paint jumper, and get rebounds. He'll look to spot up in the corners and around the perimeter for quick release, catch and shoot 3's. He can get hot.     He led King's to a CIF State Title appearance. He had a productive Spring against quality competition. He continues to showcase his overall guard capabilities at this event. Barnett has established himself and one of NorCal's top playmaking guards. He's a point guard, with scoring ability, he can control the pace, involve mates, get to the basket readily, he'll hit the pull-up jumper. He's a top notch on ball defender.     He sets himself apart with his ability to make 3-point shots with a level of consistency. He's made considerable progress putting the ball on the floor aggressively driving it to the basket, handling contact, and finishing around the rim, he makes his free throws. The offense flows through him, he has good shot selection, he'll move the ball to others with better shots.     He's a new comer we haven't seen a lot. He's played well in June while we were watching. He gets his fair share of rebounds, some for put back points. He makes cuts to finish at the rim, hits the paint jumper, or floats it. We've seen him move around the perimeter with good passing and cutting. He can hit the open 3-pointer.     Bryant continues to grow his game and be productive on the big stage. He's scoring the ball in different ways. He's making good decisions, on when to pass and shoot. He has good strength, a solid body, plays under control. He aggressively attacks the rim, challenging blockers, he might dunk on somebody. He's hitting 3's at a good rate, he's defending.     The lone returning starter from last season takes on a new role. He's a high IQ prospect with good basketball skills. He's a solid combo guard who'll have more shot opportunities. He makes cuts, uses screens to free himself up for jump shots, he hits the 3ptr. He use his savvy ball handling to get into the paint for assists, and points.     He's a solid body, strong shooting guard. He gets to his spots for mid-range, and paint jumpers. He'll finish around the basket in traffic. He's a good rebounding guard at 6'3. He'll finish strong going to the basket in transition. He can defend in the paint, and on the perimeter.     He's an improving prospect in this class. A target in the post with his size and length, along with improving foot work to score inside. He plays with good energy running up and down the court. He'll get rebound, give good effort defending in the post. He'll step out to shoot a 3ptr on occasion. He's a good passer, sets solid screens. He'll be a key component for the Spartans.
