It's June! The Scholastic Period has begun, meaning prospects across the Palmetto State are back with their High School programs for the next 30 days competing in various camps and events. This weekend I was in North Augusta, South Carolina for the annual South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association Live Team Camp. Over 100 SCHSL Schools were in attendance, playing in front of College Coaches. These six players are Forwards who stood out with their ability to protect the rim or clean the glass. Check them out:

First up on the list is [player_tooltip player_id='2673795' first='Aiassiac' last='Germany'], who dominated the glass for CA Johnson in a low-scoring matchup with Powdersville. He hauled in 15 rebounds in the win, but also had some nice offensive plays off the dribble and a pair of blocks. What makes Aiassiac such a good rebounder are his instincts and positioning, as he often knows exactly where the ball is going off the rim. However, if he does misjudge one, he is athletic enough to adjust to still get the ball.

AJ had a strong showing for the Bulldogs in their win over West Florence early Saturday Morning. He put up 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks in the game, making an impact on both ends of the floor with his size and athleticism. Jeter is one of the more bouncy big men in the state, and he can impact shots at the rim and on the perimeter that most can't. AJ also ran the floor well, had a couple of offensive putbacks, and finished strong with his right hand.

Caslaru was very impressive for the Copperheads this weekend, leaving a good impression on College Coaches. I caught up with Mark and company in a matchup with Gaffney, where he went for 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 blocks. He was an impactful rim protector early and often, preventing the Indian Offense from ever having easy looks in the paint. Mark also showed his polish as an offensive player, knocking down two threes, a turnaround mid-range jumper, and being used for dribble hand-offs.

Jordan is a new face to the Stallions and a new name to the database. Williams is a very athletic forward who rotates well to protect the rim. He is also mobile enough to cover ground offensively, both in transition and in the half-court. His scoring package is built around long finishes and face-up jumpers. However, the most impressive part of his game is his shot-blocking, which is a key part of the Horse Creek defense. Jordan put up 6 points and 4 blocks in a loss to Abbeville.

Lewis is an exciting prospect based on his athleticism. He is very explosive and has an elite second jump, which is key to his ability to clean up the offensive glass. Marlon does clean the glass on both ends, but he is not as good of a shot-blocker as some of the others on this list yet. After forcing a miss, Marlon keeps the ball high and can throw good outlet passes to start a break. He put up 9 rebounds in a matchup with James Island.

Rounding out the list is South Aiken's [player_tooltip player_id='2469367' first='Kyson' last='McLeod'], a two-sport athlete for the T-Breds. His strength, athleticism, and soft hands all translate from the football field to the basketball court. McLeod is a good basketball player though, rarely forcing plays despite his physical advantages. His ability to control the glass was a major advantage for South Aiken in their matchup with Eastside. Kyson was a bright spot in the close loss, racking up 16 points, 16 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block.
