In case you have not been on the internet or social media over the last two days… at Philly HS Live, Coatesville 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2485359' first='Colton' last='Hiller'] continued to push his recruiting stock through the roof with his stellar performances, including a 41-point explosion.       The following players also assembled an impressive weekend at Philly HS Live.    Goodwin is lefty point guard with a highly accurate jump shot. He drained threes of every variety as well as dribble pull ups. His ability to knock down transition / trail triples was especially impressive. As a bonus to his shooting, Goodwin is a rock steady primary ball handler. He frequently used his change of direction dribbles to create off the bounce for himself and teammates. His live dribbling passing was next level. College coaches will love Goodwin's high IQ and his composure under even the most tenacious defensive pressure.     Newsome impressed with his ability to score from anywhere on the court. The first thing that popped about Newsome was his 3-point shooting, as he drained triples from all around the arc. His quick release and deep range were impressive too. Newsome then used that perimeter shooting threat to set up his of the dribble attacks on the rim. A quick head / ball fake got defenders off balance, then Newsome used his quick burst to get into the painted area for lay-ins or runners off the glass. Newsome was one of the breakout stars of Philly HS Live and his emergence will make the Raptors difficult to defend in 2025-26.     It appears the Lower Merion program has quickly reloaded for 2025-26 and leading the way is this talented point guard who can direct a team and get buckets. When it came to putting points on the scoreboard, Parrish used his speed and elusive handles to go coast to coast for lay-ins. On half-court possessions, those same assets enabled Parrish to blow past the initial defender and get into the paint lay-ins floaters and runners. Plus, Parrish displayed the ability to get into the lane and then play off two feet. He also knocked down several logo distance threes. Parrish operated as a floor general too. He patiently initiated set plays and then delivered well timed passes to most efficient scoring option.     Pereira's dominating play on the interior turned heads during the April and May grassroots circuits. Thus, it should come a s a surprise that he was a top performer at Session I of Philly HS Live. The combination of his length, solid frame, polished footwork and finishing skills made him unstoppable in the paint. Pereira scored via quick drop steps and spin moves in close as well as on dives to the cup and by bullying his defender down low. He also crashed the offensive glass for put backs, including impressive follow dunks. The big fellas produced point on the secondary break too. When teams double teamed Pereira, he displayed excellent decision making and delivered precise dimes to the open teammate. Pereira recently received an offer from La Salle University, and I expect more are headed his way soon.
