With the graduation off all-everything guard JJ Kelly, Buhrman will ascend to the No. 1 option for Chambersburg. That promotion starts here in June, and I expect that Buhrman will handle it well. Last season Buhrman averaged 12 points per night, scored a season high 23-points on two separate occasions and posted several double-doubles. He is a high IQ forward with a polished mid-range as well as interior skill set. Buhrman can use his 6'6” frame and long wingspan to score over defenders on dives to the cup, baseline cuts and out of pick-n-roll action. He can also crash the offensive glass for rebounds and then convert them into points. Buhrman has flashed a jump shot with decent range.

With all-everything wing prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1454254' first='Luca' last='Foster'] having transferred and electric point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1608257' first='Ian' last='Williams'] sidelined with an injury, it will be intriguing to watch the role that Matos takes on for Carroll this weekend. Matos is one of the best three-point shooters in the state. His logo distance range combined with his fearless approach to shooting forces opponents to pick up Matos at half-court. Still, the development in his handles and at the rim scoring skills has quietly turned Matos into a dual threat guard. He is now fully capable of working as a quality primary ball handler. This quick guard with active hands is also a plus defender who generates steals. Matos (15.5 ppg. in 2024-25) holds an offer from Sacred Heart.

Ruisch is a dead-eye three-point shooter who stretches the floor for Parkland's host of dribble drive guards. During his junior campaign Ruisch poured in 50 triples and posted several games of 3+ made threes. Ruisch's continuous off-ball movement and quick trigger make him difficult to guard on the perimeter. He does a tremendous job of sliding along the arc while staying in the ball handler's line of vision. On the fast break, the athletic Ruisch (plays 3-sports) will sprint to an open spot, get his feet set quickly and then fire off a trey before the defense can react. Ruisch has be known to splash mid-range jumpers too.

The historic Owen Schlager era is over at Trinity and leading the program going forward will be the athletic and versatile Steele. Last season Steele was a Swiss Army knife guard prospect who averaged 10 points per game. Starting this weekend, he will be asked to carry significantly more of the scoring load for Trinity. Good news, Steele has the skills and IQ to handle that promotion. Steele provided a glimpse of that last year when posted 22-points (1 three) in the Mid-Penn Conference title game. Steele can score in the open court, pop triples and slash to the cup for lay-ins. He can also operate as a primary ball handler where his nifty handles create scoring opportunities for himself and teammates. When Steele gets into the paint and is looking to score, his solid frame, hops and finishing skills lead to crowd pleasing buckets.
