Hiller Makes Case for Top Wing in 2028

The best player without question in the morning session was Colton Hiller from Coatesville (PA). The 2028 wing was absolutely phenomenal! He is a 6'6” shooting guard that has everything in his bag that he needs to be a future lottery pick. The 6'5” guard already has positional size and strength with plus athleticism. He poured in four triples in their game on Wednesday morning. Extremely quick release. Operates well in the mid-range and is a connective passer. Burst to the hoop with pop at the rim to finish with authority. Also liked how he competed on the defensive end with his instincts, moving his feet, and having active hands. He has been the best wing I have seen this week at camp in 2028.

Wing 2027 Trio Impress in Morning with Versatile Scoring

Three 2027 wing prospects caught our attention with their play in the first session on Wednesday. Gabe Nesmith out of Prolific Prep (FL) had an excellent showing. He was in attack mode from the jump slithering through the lanes finding creases in the defense. Handles to go coast to coast and is such a gifted acrobatic finisher. Mater Dei (CA) rangy 6'6” small forward DeMarcus Henry caught our attention during the season and continues to have an arrow pointing up! Inside/out threat being able to throw down slams out of the dunker spot, hit an array of feathery twos and threes via the jumper, and can really handle it for his size. Fluid athlete that competes and impacts on the defensive end as well. Omari Chaudhry from Overtime Elite is a slick creator both scoring and passing. Gets in the lane for scoop shots and crafty finishes along with finding his teammates.

Dynamic Guards Shine in the 2027 Class

Beckham Black from Southeastern Prep (TX) is a heady floor general that makes those around him better. Quick decisions on the fly that gets in the lane for mid-range jumpers and scored at the cup. Link Academy (MO) combo guard Davion Thompson continues to shine playing on the ball with his crafty handles and shot making coming off ball screens. Good reads with the ball and has been active defensively. Lincoln Vinson out of North Carolina had some wow moments in their game showing off his sneaky athleticism and shot making from three. Mateen Cleaves Jr has had a strong week and that continued on Wednesday morning. The Michigan native played with strength downhill, hit mid-range jumpers, and was a connective passer. Like what he brings defensively as well. Jamaal McKnight from DeMatha (MD) gets to the rim and constantly pushes the pace. Hargrave Military (VA) guard Jordan Hunter is a 6'1” guard that was excellent as a scoring combo. Downhill attacking bucket getter that lived in the paint. Athletic finisher that lived in the paint with his quickness and burst off the bounce.

Class of 2028 Top 10 Wings Live Up to Ranking

Webster Groves (MO) 2028 small forward Miles Simpson has been consistent game in and game out all week. He plays above the rim in transition and has a sweet mid-range jumper game. Like what he brings on the defensive end. Huntington Prep (WV) Kam Mercer turned it up as the powerful guard got it rolling with a couple of threes shaking his man for pull ups. Also had a sweet spinning layup in the paint.

Spears Jr Leads 2027 Posts in Morning Session

Marcus Spears Jr from Dynamic Prep (TX) was outstanding once again. Fluid rim runner, finished through contact for multiple and-1s, and showed quickness off the bounce. Love how he can grab a defensive rebound and push. Has made a case to be in the discussion with Baba for #1 in 2027. AZ Compass (AZ) Precious Sam is an intimidating force with his physicality and strength. He snatches rebounds in traffic on a consistent basis. Explosive and powerful finisher out of the dunker spot and in the pick/roll game. IMG Academy (FL) 2027 6'7” post Zain Majeed was super efficient in the contest we saw. Well built front court player with broad shoulders and a strong frame. Gets it done with his skill level knocking in multiple threes and showing he could handle in the open court. Runs the floor and rebounds well in his area. Kirkwood (TN) 2027 center Anthony Goring is a broad shouldered big man that impacts the game finishing out of the dunker spot, running the floor, and being a good post defender.
