Top 3 2027 Battle #1 of Day. Rosser Gets Win While Spears Steals Show

The headline game of the morning session featured top 3 top 2027 big men CJ Rosser (Northern Nash HS, NC) and Marcus Spears Jr (Dynamic Prep, TX) going head to head. Rosser's team got the victory with Spears absolutely showing out on both ends. The highlight of the game was the big man swatting back to back dunk attempts by a freak athlete in almost the same fashion each time. It had everyone out of their seats. Slick ball handler and has long strides to the rack. Rim runner in transition and threw down some nasty dunks. Rosser flashed including a feathery three ball and getting up and down the floor like a guard. He will get a test against Baba tonight!

Backcourt Depth Leads Denver to Win

The reason that Denver won was the depth of their backcourt. Impactful guards all over the place. La Lumiere (IN) combo guard Devin Cleveland has deep range on his three point shot which was shown in the win. Fellow Midwest guard Scottie Adkinson of Webster Groves (MO) is such a dynamic bucket getter. He is shifty off the bounce getting to the rack and pushing in transition constantly putting pressure on the rim. Calvary Christian (FL) lead guard Cayden Daughtry is one of the most consistent lead guards in the 2027 class. Crisp passer, spinning layups, floater off ball screens for and-1s, and plays with great pace. The second unit played just as well together with Isaiah Santos (Seven Lakes, TX), Ashton Shewell (Lehi, UT), and Avery Huston (Dynamic Prep, TX) each taking turns sharing the rock with each other making the extra pass and knocking in three balls.

Dampier Arrives and Shows Long Term Upside

Erick Dampier he big man from Mississippi is a 2028 post that arrived late Monday night and had his first basketball session Monday morning. The highly ranked post looks like his dad with broad shoulders and can really rebound.

Baba Continues to Make Case for #1

Blake High School (MD) 6'8” combo forward Baba Oladotun is the real deal. He has a ton of upside as he had some absolutely incredible moves off the bounce for spinning conversitions at the hoop. Even put in a nice finger roll in the glimpse we saw. So switchable on the defensive end and versatile offensively.

Athletic 2027 Wings Shine in Different Ways

Athletic wings in the 2027 class that caught our attention included Dooney Johnson (Milwaukee Juneau, WI) and Colton Hiller (Coatesville, PA) shoot out in different ways with their athleticism. Johnson is a high energy wing that was so athletic on the glass and snatched rebounds from his wing spot consistently. Also a force in transition. Hiller is a plus athlete that threw down a big dunk, got to the rim, hit a three, and competed on the defensive end.

Missouri Duo Doing Work in Home State

Got a chance to see both Cameron Barnes (Lee's Summit, MO) and Miles Simpson (Webster Groves, MO) on Tuesday. They are from different sides of the state while being two of the premier prospects in the state. Simpson is the top dog in 2028 with his ability to impact on both ends. He plays above the rim and is elite in transition. Feathery mid-range game with the jumper. Has been so active defensively getting steals throughout the camp. Barnes is a big bodied 2027 6'6” 242 pound five man that is physical down low. He uses that strong frame to be a good area rebounder and does have some skill even attacking from the mid-post area.

Jaydn Jenkins Best Shot Blocker in Camp to Date

Best rim protector at the camp so far has been Archbishop Wood (PA) 6'9” five man Jaydn Jenkins. Elite rim protector that is a big time shot blocking presence. Effective in the pick/roll game and gets on the offensive glass.
