Metro Tournament: 24 Player Notes

Fargo, ND - The Metro Tournament went on today (Friday) at Fargo Davies. Prep Hoops Dakotas was in the gym for the AM games. It was a fun morning of basketball and we saw plenty of noteworthy ball players. A few of the teams were missing ballers for various reasons but there was plenty of talent in the gym. really like his game   -Hit a corner 3 from the right corner   -Another 3, this one in transition   -Slash-n-score with the D draped all over his back   -Drive into the paint, maneuver around D, floater score     -Had a slower start but he got going eventually   -Hit a middy J from 15'   -Pull-up 3 from the top of the key   -Another triple   -Hit big FT's late in the comeback over Horace   -Impressive skill level     -Ran with OG's JV team   -Lefty, good speed kid for a 2029   -Pulled the trigger quickly & drilled a 3-ball   -Picked off a pass at halfcourt, stepped in front like a DB   -Attacked & got to the line, aggressive   -Tenacious defender and playmaking point guard     -Catch-shoot 3ball, has a nice soft shot   -Drilled a corner 3-pointer   -Another triple, BLOB catch-n-shoot, money, gets rid of it quickly   -Drive into teeth of D, drew help, dish assist   -Looks like a nice player   -Eagles were smoking hot in the first half of game 1 and so was Vetter     -Strong player, wide body, creates space   -Showed his range when hitting a triple   -Fought for O-boards   -Another triple   -Interior scores   -Put it on the floor and got to the rack   -Transition points     -Shooter for sure   -Swished a pull-up 3 ball   -Several 3's on the day   -Silky release, cashed a nice inside-out triple     -Noteworthy size, strength, physicality, athleticism   -Productive on the glass, especially O   -Points after contact, strong AND1 finish   -Spaced to dunk spot, caught, attacked, exploded for a 2-handed POWER JAM   -Take a look at the bottom of the page for a video of Miller's dunk   -He will be a starter for RR and a quality forward in the EDC     -Athletic lefty, nice length for a '28 G, very good showing in game 1   -Baseline attack, swished a lefty floater   -Space & shoot triple for Triepke   -Deep slash, scored with running tear-drop in traffic   -Another 3-ball, catch-n-shoot   -Played with confidence and performed well     -Ran with OG's JV team   -Long, slim, impressive wing span   -High-pointed rebounds, kept it away from the foals   -Put it on the floor, drew contact & went to the line   -Caught short corner, attacked, kiss off the glass for 2   -O-board in traffic, nice putback score   -Mopped up the glass on both ends     -After seeing him 2 days in a row, I realize he is a better athlete than I thought   -Not just a shooter, gets it done as a slasher also   -Gashed inside the arc, beat 2 defenders, AND1 body control finish   -Noteworthy reactions on D, steal, aggressive take, fouled & got to the line   -Multiple athletic scores at the hoop   -Slashed & weaved, sweet lefty finish, imrpessive take   -Picked off a pass on the backside of the press   -Helped the Demons come back from a big deficit to beat Horace     -Eye-catching length & size   -Love the fact that he was on the block, used his size, multiple impressive seals   -Right finish from the block, sweet baby hook   -Cleaned up the glass in the game I watched   -O-board tip-in on his own miss, great to see him stick with it   -Passed out of the post, I bet Coach Manson love to see that   -Strong man O-board putback   -AND1 catch-n-score, caught from the dunk spot & finished   -Spaces when his teammates attack, lets his defender help & he reacts   -Impressive showing from BIG Jack   -Heard a report that Jack dominated vs. Horace     -Ran with OG's JV squad   -Strong build, well-put-together   -Caught mid-paint, aggressive to rim, high arcing kiss off glass for 2   -Aware inside-out pass for a 3   -Ran the floor well   -Looks like a hard worker     -Ran with OG's JV team   -I like his length as a '28 guard   -Looked good pushing the tempo   -Showed his shooting with a made triple   -Drove, attracted help D, kicked to the open man     -As always, he looked good at PG and handling the ball   -Controlled the tempo, set the table, created shots   -Hustled for O-boards, scrappy   -Multiple made triples   -Showed off the shooting depth with an extended range 3     -Had the ball in his hands much more with a few Hawks out   -Scored from 3 and at the rack   -Hit a triple from the left corner on a kickout pass   -Deep 3 from the left side   -Transition point blank score   -Hustled for an O-board   -BLOB lob catch & finish   -SLOB catch, sick reverse layup with D all over him   -Slash-n-score, bucket at the cup   -Another transition score   -Proved he can be a combo guard and not just a catch-n-shoot player     -Impressive length, southpaw   -Step-through baseline score, righty finish   -Excellent inside-out pass for a 3   -Pick-off pass steal   -Scored with both hands   -Does a bit of everything on the floor     -Great day on Thursday at Who's Next Combine   -Played well again on Friday   -Shot it favorably from 3   -Multiple made triples in the games I took in   -Athletic slash-n-score   -Quick feet & bursts of speed     -Looked good at Sanford's Who's Next and was at it again on Friday   -Long, +wingspan, skilled   -Turning into a sniper   -Early 15' fall-away J, shooters touch roll   -2 blocked shots in a single possession   -Took a charge! Always impressed when you see that in the summer   -Multiple deep 3's "Little Larry" was hot   -1st game, he was up to 18 pts w/ 14 mins remaining, must have had high 20's   -Quick trigger 3 w/ D in his face in the 2nd game, feeling it, confident   -Balls skills looked nice, threw accurate 1-handed passes   -Scored in transition   -Another long range triple with hand in face   -Slick backdoor dime   -Come-out-of-nowhere swat   -SLOB touch pass assist   -High pointed rebounds, he rally cleaned up the glass in the 2nd game   -O-board, fall-away J for 2 pts, nice shot   -Took on the alpha role with a few Hawks out   -It was fun to see him be the man and dominate     -Nice-sized guard, strong, moves well   -Cash money 3-ball   -Has a sound & fundamental shot   -Attacked baseline, 1-handed jumper, kiss off the glass for 2   -Looked good attacking traffic   -Hit a triple on a Paye kickout pass   -Great body control when finishing around the basker   -Expecting Walters to be a breakout player this winter     -Has a slim build but he is a shooter   -Lefty who knocked down multiple 3's   -Another shooter for Davies, they will be scary with multiple marksmen     -He was the best Mustang that I saw today   -Scored from every level   -Elbow catch, reverse pivot, 1 dribble pull-up for 2   -Multiple interior scores   -Double figure points in the first game   -Worked for rebounds   -Stepped out & smoked a triple   -Noteworthy size, he will be a legit player this winter     -A special athlete   -Throwing down impressive dunks in warm-ups   -Forced TO's in pressure D & the press   -Effective on the top of the full-court press   -Multiple blocked shots   -Elevated & jumps super well   -Full-court press steal, easy score   -Will not be surprised if he starts this winter for the Demons     -Caught my eye with his athleticism, scary potential   -Looked good scoring in transition   -Unselfish kickout pass for a 3   -Red River has to be excited about Paye's high ceiling   -Helped the Roughriders take down the Mustangs by double digits     -Fun to see him back on the court   -Got to the line early and often, made several trips to charity stripe in game 1   -Thrives at drawing fouls & contact   -Deep slash, floater over 2 defenders   -Another nice slash-n-score   -Does a great job of driving & kicking   -Steal, push tempo, got to the rim & fouled   -Slash, dirty spin-move, awesome hang time finish   -Hit a 3-ball late in the comeback over Horace   -Impressed with his body control, handles, court vision, and versatile finishing    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/DaksHoops/status/1936105092597395473 </div></figure>
