IBCA Top 100 Showcase – First Time Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The annual IBCA Top 100 Showcase took place on Friday afternoon at Ben Davis High School welcoming in many of the state's top returning prospects. With the second scholastic live period also getting underway on Friday at Noon there were dozens of college coaches from all across the country representing all levels at this event. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage as well. We do the best job we can of covering the entire state, border to border, but sometimes it takes events like this to get prospects in front of us. He is such a well-rounded presence on the floor and checks some boxes in terms of positional size and length on the perimeter. Cook averaged 12.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game as a junior and shoots it well from the perimeter. He will need to improve his three-point shooting numbers a senior, but what he has done off of the dribble to this point in his career got him to the IBCA Top 100 Showcase. The Corydon Central High School star made some nice drives to the basket and consistently played off of two feet which was good to see. Foster attacked a closeout and finished with a floater and knocked down a three-point shot while we were watching him on Friday. He clearly has some perimeter skill and enough athleticism and strength to finish at the end of his drives. Gill averaged 8.0 assists per game as a junior and is dishing out 6.1 assists per game over the course of his three year varsity career at Hauser High School. The 5'9" floor general has a strong, physical build which helps him when attacking the basket. He is obviously a pass-first guard, but Gill also made 51 3's at a 39.2% clip as a junior. The 6'2" guard has great size in the backcourt, especially for his age, and looked the part while playing against many of the best players from across the state on Friday. He handles the ball well, is a good and willing passer in the open floor, and is athletic enough to go finish at the end of his drives. That is how the left-handed perimeter player caught our attention on Friday as well at the IBCA Top 100 showcase.
