The Southeast's best high school live event headed back to the LakePoint Champions Center in Emerson for the first of two weekends of wall-to-wall hoops. The Georgia-only event was June 20-22, here were some Can't Miss Guys from Saturday action.

The Bears said goodbye to National Top 5 prospect and soon-to-be Tar Heel Caleb Wilson, and for many programs, on the "heels" of a state title, that would be cause for concern. But with McCollough back as a top rising sophomore in the state, and some really strong other pieces like [player_tooltip player_id='1696172' first='Devin' last='Hutcherson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1543489' first='Kingston' last='Whitty'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2477186' first='Khalid' last='Worthy'], there's plenty of realistic optimism for a 2nd consecutive run. McCullough is a calm and cool customer, poised beyond his years, with vision and creativity that make him stand out. Looking taller than the 6-foot-3 he was listed at last winter, he brings the full offensive package of downhill drives and deadeye bombing to a team brimming with returning experience and all the moxie to take down all comers once again in '25-26. Rising seniors Hutcherson and Whitty have been garnering most of the D1 offer attention this month, but McCullough's time is coming.

[player_tooltip player_id='2521052' first='Marcus' last='Curry'] Jr | Guard | Grayson | 2027

Coming over from Grovetown is Curry, and just in time, as the Rams had a massive group of transfer defections after losing in the 6A finals to Newton in March, unusual for them as they generally bring in names, not lose them. They looked good still Saturday breaking in some new faces, with Curry offering up his regular buffet of high-flying and dynamic offensive finishing, be it above or below the rim. So fluid, so graceful, he's a matchup nightmare at 6-foot-5, as 2-guards are no match physically, and bulkier small forwards will struggle to deal with his long strides into the gaps and vertical possibilities. Xavier offered this week, Florida St and Kennesaw St are also in the bag, with the list rapidly growing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2703171' first='Jaylen' last='Humphrey'] | Guard | Pebblebrook | 2026

Couldn't pull myself away from this latest P'brook crew Saturday as they held on versus a talented and bigger Calvary Day team. Stacked with veteran seniors together with 6-foot-7 junior [player_tooltip player_id='2262493' first='Anthony' last='Moon'], love watching how Coach George Washington prepares his troops and executes at both ends. Every big basket they needed in a big spot seemingly came from Humphrey, the lefty is a force getting downhill at the rim, a combo of next-level explosion and unafraid power. Dynamite point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2245699' first='Zyree' last='Brown'] was doing a lot of the facilitating, and he's special too, so keep an eye pinned toward Mableton as this experienced and rugged crew is definitely going to be a team to watch in the 6A playoffs next winter.

Will Dopfer | Forward | Lambert | 2026

I've had the rare treat of being up close for a good amount of Dopfer's four years of high school development, and while most of us knew he'd be a prospect to watch, he's really put in the work in the gym, the weight room, and on the mental side. He fits the bill of the classic small forward in today's game at 6-foot-6, can face you up from 22 feet and drill them in your face, or has plenty of get-up-and-go and ballhandling to be a legit threat getting by people. Has no aversion to catching it on the interior, and has a bevy of classic and new wave post moves to unleash while down there. His travel ball time with Redline under Jay Gibbons is obvious, and a superb tactician like 'Horns Coach Clay Wages has known for many seasons now how to get the most out of him.
