DC Live 2028 Standouts

TThe DC Live event at Sidwell Friends showcased an impressive group of Class of 2028 basketball prospects, each bringing unique skills and potential to the court. This highly anticipated gathering provided a platform for these young athletes to demonstrate their abilities and make a name for themselves in the competitive basketball scene. From versatile forwards to crafty guards, the Class of 2028 displayed a remarkable blend of talent, athleticism, and high basketball IQ, making it evident that the future of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia is in great hands. These standouts not only showcased their individual play but also demonstrated their potential to shine on both the local and national stages in the years to come.    Elijah is a talented lead guard who is efficient in getting a bucket when needed from various spots on the floor and was poised in setting the table for his teammates getting them involved as well. A wiry guard who smoothly slithers his way into his pullup, Hall is comfortable drilling jumpers (Legit 23 range on jumpers) with a hand in his face and does so with a calm demeanor. Defensively used his length to be a menacing on ball defender. Potentially Elijah has the potential to be one of the top guards in the nation if he continues to develop at this pace!     The 6-5 wing with a strong frame, ball skills & projects as a dynamic shot making 3 man who scores from all three levels. Kareem's best basketball is ahead of him. With his size, his versatility, his fluidity and ability to play/defend multiple positions are impressive. Impacts the game in so many ways. The 6'5 prospect has plenty of tools that allow him to flourish on the court. Attacking well off the dribble, getting to the rim and using his length/strength well, and is one that has so much potential left in his game.     Had a good freshman season at Catholic HS this past year. Kalvin length, shiftiness, overall quickness as a PG is impactful. Scored the ball effectively, knocked down shots from outside, gets in the paint and showed to be a sound playmaker for others, racking up assists and finishing at the rim. Really liked his overall skill set as a distributor and scored the ball when needed. Played with Petersburg at the event.     Jaha Mansour can bring strong value to the court in different scenarios; he can find his role in being a shooter and high IQ wing guard with more talent around him but also can fill it up when he needs to. With his blend of size, strength, and skill set, Mansour continues to bring more attention to his way with his play and this summer and next high school season could be a big one for him.     Heady, pass 1st young PG who impress with his pace setting the table for teammates and score when necessary…Range out to three-point land was noticeable. Tough and competitive, brings his motor to impact the game when he came off the bench…Carter has a slight wiry built frame right now but look for Carter to fill out and be one of the top PGs in the DMV area. Carter attends Westfield HS in Chantilly, Virginia.     Do-It-All Dual forward that impressed with his versatility. Shows productivity, holds long arms, an outstanding shot blocker, able to handle the ball, creates plays with his hustle, and scores in a variety of ways. A love Truth's aggressiveness and approach to the game on both ends of the floor. He is a prospect that has the CHOPS to be a game changing defender.
