PH Live: 15U Defensive Disruptors

I was in Batavia evaluating the Class of 2028 players from across the Midwest Region. Plays selflessly with good IQ on both ends of the court. Has some passion but remains fundamentally sound.  Strong frame that he utilizes effectively meeting a physicality challenge. Moves feet well guarding on the ball. Stays in proper positioning away from the ball to help. Liked his tenacity to get on the floor and fight for 50/50 balls. Likes to be in the action of the play with positive energy. Caught squad's first game of the day on Sunday. Impressed mostly from the tip to guard on the ball. Used his quick hands and feet to slow down a couple really good scorers in the first part of the game. Made two clean pick pocketed steals. Turned defense into offense on multiple occasions and provided a spark. Used anticipation to get a takeaway in the back court for a quick turnover lay in. Had another steal and hard take coast to coast for an And 1 finish. Outran the defense for a pitch ahead and lay in off another turnover. Helped squad to a 4-0 weekend. Ran the floor consistently well throughout and was ready to play. Stayed active defensively and picked off a couple takeaways. Had solid driving ability to the rim in transition with 1 being an And1 finish. Grabbed a couple O boards to go along with a nice take into the bulk of traffic. Has good positioning and aggressiveness on the defensive end. Came away with a pick pocketed steal and has active hands / feet off the ball. Boarded for the guard spot as well and pushes the ball up tempo. Plays mostly the point position on O. Drove a couple times to the bucket with one being for an And1 finish.
