While it came in a narrow loss, Powell made the biggest statement of the night from a prospect standpoint, showing his dynamic two-way play at the point of attack that has him pushing for the starting lineup after a year mostly on JV. With a slick handle and a blistering first step in either direction, Powell was impossible to keep out of the paint where he showcased both advanced passing reads and nifty finishing ability with either hand. A true floor general who loves getting others involved, he's beginning to blossom physically and athletically with still plenty of room left to go. Further reps and improved confidence as a shooter look to be all that stands between Powell and mid-to-high major recruitment.

Leading UD on both ends in the tight win, Jackson looked ready to step up notably from the reserve role he played as a sophomore. A rugged two-way wing, he set the tone as the Cardinals built an early lead with Jackson's defensive playmaking helping spark transition offense. He showed an improving ability to create his own shot off the bounce while staying within the flow and making smart, unselfish decisions. With further refinement as a shooter over the next couple years, Jackson will have a chance to put himself on scholarship radars given his physical tools and two-way approach.

A multi-year returning starter from last year's district title team, Bazemore looked ready to take a jump forward in his production with a bit more on his plate heading into his senior year. A smooth lefty lead guard, he looked a bit bigger and stronger than in the past while showing strong command over the floor with the ball in his hands. Bazemore was efficient at the helm of the offense, moving the ball when appropriate but also knocking down open looks himself and seeking out mismatches to punish with knifing drives to the cup. His energy and playmaking ability should make him a popular name among college coaches with a chance to play his way onto scholarship radars with a strong senior year.

An unsung member of the rotation in last year's district championship run, Altman showed himself to be more than capable of taking a step up if his play on Thursday was any indication. A sturdily-built southpaw, he looked polished across either guard spot while making good decisions and converting efficiently both from the arc and near the rim. Altman looked to be a key piece of the high-IQ and unselfish culture that's become a staple of the UD program. He certainly looks worthy of small-college looks heading into his senior year.

Another sophomore looking to work his way into the rotation from the JV ranks, Strong impressed with his multi-level scoring punch in the backcourt. On his way to a double-figure effort, he got himself going with a series of resilient downhill drives where he showed an ability to convert under control through traffic. Strong would later show himself to be a capable floor-spacer as a catch-and-shoot threat. We'll look to see more from his complementary game in future evaluations but Strong's offensive juice could certainly be a welcome addition to the Wood lineup before too long.
