Dakota Niners 15U: Team Intro

On tournament weeks, we have two team practices.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">PHD: What are your goals for this team?</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>When it comes to summer ball, I just hope I add more/develop their games and help them bring something new to their high school programs. Obviously, I want them to have fun too, but winning helps with that so we'll try to do that.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">PHD: What are a couple of your strengths as a team?</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>The first tournament they really shared the ball well, but we also have 2-3 guys that can just go get a basket when we need it. But I like our defense, we've won games with scores of 50-10, 41-19, 61-14.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">PHD: What style of basketball do you play on offense?</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>Everyone likes to play fast, but I just want to make sure we find the best shot possible. We run in transition,&nbsp;when possible, but with the group we have, we are able to wear defenses down with ball movement and finding the easiest shot possible.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">PHD: What brand of defense do you play?&nbsp;</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>We play man-to-man defense, like all summer teams should, and we have a couple of guys who really take pride in shutting their assignment down. We have a couple of screen coverages and a switching rotation when needed, but it's important to be able to just straight up play good defense in the summer and create good habits.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">PHD: Is there an event/tournament you are most looking forward to?</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>"We are excited for the NHR in Minneapolis.
