How do you stay locked in during the grind of the season—especially on tough weeks?

“I just try to block out the noise and focus on one game at a time.“

What’s something your coaches emphasize that really shows up on game nights?

“Just blocking out the noise and trusting his plan and focusing on playing our game and at our pace.“

What’s the biggest lesson basketball has taught you?

“How to work with others and deal with adversity.“

What has been your favorite moment of the season so far?

“Probably just showing up to practice every day and everyone is positive and ready to work.“

Favorite gym to play in (besides home)?

“Northern States’ because the floors are really nice and are very bouncy, and the atmosphere is crazy.“

What are you hoping to accomplish before postseason play begins?

“I’m hoping to help the team find its stride so we can be playing our best basketball come postseason.“

Aderhold is an athletic and explosive difference-maker who looks primed to be a stud this winter. He’s an impressive finisher at the rim and more than capable of putting opponents on a poster with his high-flying scores. On the glass, he’s a strong and productive rebounder, and defensively, he oozes upside as a lockdown defender. Aderhold protects the paint, plays with relentless energy, and consistently impacts winning. With his combination of size, athleticism, and motor, it’s no surprise he’s already drawing interest from Division II programs—and his stock only looks to be on the rise.

Will is a big athletic kid that uses power and strength to his advantage. Big year coming for the top rated class B player in SD.

Will Aderhold Will Aderhold 6'5" | C/PF Castlewood | 2028 State SD is a soph, the real deal, and a projected starter for Castlewood. An explosive athlete who can put defenders on a poster, he changes the game with his energy and highlight plays. Aderhold owns the boards, has become an improved three-point shooter, and consistently impacts winning. A true gym rat with a relentless motor, he’s poised for a bright future as a key piece for the Warriors.

WHY?

He put a few opponents on posters and that was a huge momentum boost for the Niners! Will gave his squad many extra possessions because of his offensive rebounding. Aderhold was a difference maker down low on defense by contesting and blocking shots. He provided a ton of energy with his impressive above-the-rim finishing.
